I don't think it is out of love that the dog defended the girls. It was out of a sense of defending something in its territory.
Your perception is deeply flawed.

A dog takes its human owner and owner's family as its 'pack'. Just like wolves have a pack. Family is based on love and respect, this is where protection instinct comes in. That dog was willing to lay its life for its family against a bigger rival, if thats not love then what is ?
A mother (lets say animal) protects its young babies, is that defending territory ? no its love for her family. Same for the dog - Family/pack related to love.

For you to start a campaign against dogs, at least first learn basic things about dogs. How can you talk against dogs when you dont even know about dogs except what media has injected in your mind ? its ridiculous.

I know about some of the habits of dogs and the problems they created in my city, whether it be attacks on humans or killing cats. Some years ago, using an air rifle, I used to snipe at the dogs in the four roads near my house. I even called a BBC World Service Radio reporter to do a recording about this which got edited into a eleven minute spot on a program called Outlook.

In various places in India there are people who campaign against dogs. Take this from Kerala state :
Kochouseph Chittilappilly, the well known Kerala-based businessman and philanthropist who owns the inverter company V-Guard and a chain of amusement parks named Wonderla, has offered a grant of five lakh rupees on Tuesday to the Theruvu Naaya Unmoolana Sangham (Street Dog Eradication Committee), allegedly responsible ...Oct 13, 2015
In Bangalore city there is the Stray Dog Free Bangalore movement.

What is ridiculous is letting the 35+ million stray dogs in India continue their menace.

There are so many humans in India who die of hunger yet the dogs here don't have dearth of food.

Akhee, flower, I bought it recently from an Arabic shop. It is a new experience. I have been drinking chamomile tea from tea bags for a while, so I wanted to try this once.

I have been drinking black tea with sage as well. Does it have any undesirable side effects? It makes me a bit drowsy actually.

It has some relaxing properties but nothing you need to worry about.
