@Farah Sohail sister now we don't even have writers, poets and journalists to write against the corruption and injustices. Just very few journalists.

We need more people like Habib Jalib & Faiz Ahmed Faiz.

That poem you just shared is one of my favorite.

I know, i was just telling opinion of fraction of the people and I shouldn't have generalised it but it is somewhat true for the whole of South Asia that people reject rishta on the basis of sich minor issues assuming the bride would not look nice with the groom or the prettier daughter in law will raise their stature around the neighbourhood ke achi biwi le ke aaye..

By the way I had heard people using terms like donda and chouga in cow markets and on the roads but never knew the meaning of it... only one or so year ago I learned it means

1) Dounda = 2 years of cow, 2 teeth usually
2) Choga = 4 years old, 4 teeth

unfortunately yes, it's true people judge girls on the basis of their height and face and complexion, and guys by their salary no matter what their business is...
society really needs to reform itself

In another words you are saying ke aap kisi kaam ki nahi... no problem

Waise technically 1 rishta karwane main I played a greater role but obviously the most credit goes to my mom for that

There was a groom, he married and divorced after few months, married again and had a baby girl, later divorced for some reason, married for the third time and divorced again

There is a bride, who married with that man and had a baby (that man's second marriage), then she was divorced, she also married thrice and had divorce

The girl belonged to really poor family and it was painful for my mom to see her baby girl without her father...

So one day she called her and asked why don't she marry her first husband from whom she had a baby? She agreed in the first breath

Then she called a groom and asked the same questiom that why don't you marry your second wife from whom you had a only baby?

And he agreed too... The hard task came that the groom's family didn't agree and me and my mama had to visit their house and they came to our house for few times and then they all decided that they will come to our home and do Nikah and take the bride... no money will be spent from either side and it will be very simple procession and the girl's father said he is poor and can't afford to marry his daughter again so when the groom's family will come, he will happily serve tea and biscuits, consider it the waleema something... lol

So with about 150 rupees of investment and witnesses including me, the marriage took place within an hour.

There was of course some more investment from my pocket for dropping them to the groom's house after Nikah and when we had to go to their house for negotiation, so add another 100 rupees or so... and thats probabaly world's cheapest marriage for under 3 dollars

And no Salute to me for taking all the pressure of the male relatives of groom?

But yeah you are right in a way that once my mom convinced groom's mother who was suffering from paralysis, convincing everybody else was left to Groom's mother and his elder sister.

The groom's only brother didn't agree but the groom's mom said she wouldn't care because he was the main reason of divorce couple of years ago as he used to pump the groom and mother for divorce and one of his sister also said she will not participate in the wedding but will try to accept later after convincing her heart... But the elder sister came along and made sure nobody would ever talk about their past and everything will be deemed as no series of divorces ever took place.

The only daughter really belonged to the same parents so they were happy that she will finally get the love of her both parents. The groom was also very poor but at least had bought some land and was building a small house on it so we all were happy for the sake of their daughter

Great movie plot! :D
