in my last job place, i tried creating a employees union, with participation of a few others, of course... but much before that i understood that generally people in india don't bother with helping others, until it is their turn to suffer.

so my method of change is through non-profit business in the field of computer design ( processor design and os design )... but i hesitate to tell you more because of your prof background. you can of course easily find my posts here talking about this, so let that be a small challenge for you.

i am a legitimate socialist, i assure you of that. i don't like seeing injustice and oppression, and those are not natural, not written in the skies... they are human-created problems which can be removed, whether in india or in usa.
