Most missile don't lock in...... initially they are all guided by the AC radar (specially in the case of BVR engagements)..... later (mostly) in terminal phase the missiles (various seekers) take over the job.

When the aircraft's radar detects the target, it's missile would be able to lock-on instantly, yes ???

Dude......... depends on type of network and link system being used....... in most (very modern) integrated systems, yes indeed, the AWACS can be used, however, I'm not sure of Pakistan's capabilities in this respect!
