Nope...red wine is not sweet.(I have tasted the south African red wine)
But this home made wine was little sweet.And thats the reason I liked it.

so i wrote such a long reply and while posting the site went offline

anyway, Sweetness of the wines depends on the type of grapes used, and the course it is supposed to be served with.
if u want to taste some really sweet wines ( red or white or sparkling ) go for the extra sec,demi sec or sweet wines

here are the few names,
white sweet wines- Vineyard demi sec, edel doux, Harvest delight.
red wines- red demi sec, redel doux, pinot noir.

best products are from . .

wines- french, italian,spanish
rum- Jamaican
whiskey- Scotch,irish
vodka-Russian
Port wines-african
Gin-English.
beer-Denmark

Durbhagyobokhoto moi ghoror pora bohut durot aasu. Bortoman labot kaam kori aasu...akha koru oha magh Bihu ghorot patim. Eibar Bohag bihuto jabo nuwarim :-(

Eid= Prophets b'day. they celebrate it in the very same manner as eid here in Lucknow
