What's new

What would China be like today if the Nationalists had won the Chinese Civil War?

The China that got run down by Japan was the ROC.

The China that makes Japan looks like a little puppy is the PRC.

Tell me, if you are a Japanese, which China you would prefer?

And Nihonjin believes we the Chinese posters are all retarded for not knowing what he truly thinks?

Not just Japanese, LOL. USers, as well. The two groups that are bloody scared of the rise of China.

:D

Taiwan's GDP growth is hovering around 1.6, by the way.

:partay:

You focus on the Cultural Revolution. But what about the industrialization drive of the 1950's and early 1960's that resulted in the nuclear, space and naval programs? What about the mass education and sanitation programs that were carried out by mobilized volunteers, which vastly improved literacy and healthcare? The KMT could not have carried these programs out, since they did not have the ability to organize the population. This was already proven by their past track record; Chiang Kai Shek was even kidnapped by his own generals during the Xi'an incident.

KMT had already integrated with the west in 1920's. They failed to extract any benefit whatsoever from that relationship. I don't get why you are so fixated with integration with the West. Even today China isn't really integrated with the West; we have different standards in things ranging from telecom to food labeling that aren't changing any time soon while Taiwan has copied the US down to a tee yet mainland China is surging ahead while Taiwan is stagnating. Coastal Chinese cities already have equal or higher GDP per capita than Taiwan.

He is a Viet troll, and he won't understand our language my friend.

And most Chinese now even believe that the Cultural Revolution had prevented China to become a second USSR.

BTW, the haters gonna hate, so why bother to convince them?

.
That is a pathetic argument. You are comparing what China did today with what Taiwan accomplished yesterday ? But of course you must. You have nothing else.

Nope, look at Taipei today and Shanghai today. Taipei is a very recently built city; Taipei 101 was only built in the 2000's.

Almost all the advanced, respected and industrialized countries of the world, capitalist and socialist, voted for the PRC. Almost all the countries that voted for the ROC were 3rd world dictatorships. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why.

. .
And that possibility, which is the point of this thread, you do not like.

Why wouldn't I like it?

I have no ideology, except pragmatism.

Anything that is good for China, I will support it.

I support the CPC because they lifted 800 million Chinese people out of poverty in a few decades, which is a world record. No other country has ever achieved that in all of human history.

China's double-digit growth rate over the past 3 decades, is also unmatched, in all of recorded history.

The CPC has done more for the Chinese people than anyone else.

And it is for that EXACT reason, that anti-China foreigners hate the CPC. Because they made China strong.

Mao took his cue for the Cultural Revolution from Stalin. China WAS the second USSR. Mao worshipped Stalin and even had a Chinese national day of mourning when Stalin died.

If KMT won, our territory will be smaller than the territory of nowadays Vietnam. Sorry for all Viet members here, I always cannot control my mouth for dragging little Vietnam as the example.

In Taiwan, we are ready to export KMT to Vietnam.

But I am not sure Communist VP would be happy, at all.

:D

The imaginary military expert US minority person above would be thrilled.

So if I, your car mechanic, broke your car and fixed it, would you pay still me ? Of course, you would base upon your reasoning above.

I personally prefer the green over the blue.

The DPP without their separatism and pro-Japan ideologies is much closer to CPC than KMT ever was.

the CPC didn't make China poorer though. In 1949 Chinese had a per capita GDP of less than 100 dollars, average lifespan of 36 years and literacy rate of 15%. Not a single one of these indicators decreased. So how did CPC make China poorer lol?

No...If the KMT won, they would have used that victory to rally the Chinese people, just like how the Communists did, to lead China. There would be no Taiwan, other than as an island province. There would be no Great Famine and no Cultural Revolution. The KMT would not have imported Lysenko-ism but genuine science from the West. China would be greater than she is today.

Ridiculous example.

You're speaking as if China was a strong economy back then, before someone came along and "broke" it?
Were the Cultural Revolution and the Great Famine necessary ? Of course they were, speaking from one -- YOU -- who does not have to suffer them.

How about if I break your left leg when your right leg was already lame ? Is that a better analogy ?

Most great famine pics in China were actually belonged to the ROC era.

Those haters were really shameless to frame CPC by fabricating those fake evidences.

DPP can be a blessing for us pro-China unification groups, as well, in giving the Mainland the perfect excuse to finish it off once and for all.

I can guarantee, there will be people cheering as well as a lot crying. But they will cry like Joshua Wang. So, just b*** slapping will suffice.
