Given Pakistan's track record, current security scenario and emerging realities in China, CPEC is likely to remain a stunted project, at best. Some money will trickle in, hardly anything will get built, and the Chinese will quietly write off the money spent.

Won't happen, first of GB will never leave Pakistan. Gilgit is very pro-Pakistan, considering they got liberated on their own and joined Pakistan, there must be a reason. Drove the Dogras and his forces out on their own and acceded with Pakistan. As a Gilgiti i can say, no way in hell will Gilgit-Baltistan ever choose to be a separate country. In fact majority wants Pakistani government to make it a province, by majority i mean the nationalist parties and the locals themselves. Same goes for AJK, majority no, much more than majority is associated with PA in GB and AJK, not kidding.
And i hope i am not wrong, but both India and Pakistan have taken out this option of independent country.

It does not matter whether Gilgit-Baltistan will leave Pakistan or not. Pakistan has already made a part of it leave and join China. With China expanding it's influence more strongly than ever in the region, there is a high possibility such things can happen again. Afterall, Pakistan has only card to play right now and that is China. Appeasement is the word.

Because terrorism is an artificially created issue by elements present within Pakistan.

10 million Kashmiris live in Indian Kashmir. If only 10% of them were out there protesting against India, then it would not have been possible for India to hold back. Any such movement needs massive peoples' support which is lacking in case of Kashmir.
It may be hard for you to understand just like that. Take the example of East Pakistan, for example. How many days it took ? A few months in active protest and a few weeks of direct action ? Now compare that with 7 decades of nagging in Kashmir. If there was anything substantial in it, we would have gotten decisive results already.
