Breast cancer is a very serious illness that people in this part of the world are not aware off. What's wrong if it's a Mosque, doesn't Islam tell you to seek out a remedy for a disease and not let it grow? If Mosque is used to spread awareness of some illness, is that wrong?

Well Lightening Faisal Masjid for Cancer Campaign isn't harmful

Masjid can be used as
Worship Place
training Centre
centre of learning (Madrassa)
healing centre (dispensaries) many Masjids were build in Egypt Baghdad that has Libraries and Clinics Dispensaries attached with them
Can be used for Accommodations
Can be used for Courts (at the time of Mohammad PBUH judicial activities, resolving disputes, inflicting Islamic punishment all took place in Masjid)

There are many Maulana and Scholars present in Pakistan if that was a bad thing they wouldn't allow them to use Faisal Masjid for this cause

I don't see a problem with a Mosque lighting in pink, it's just a colour and it supports the cause of a serious illness. Some even carry charity work to help those in need irrespective of what the illness is related to. I guess Faisal Mosque only did it as its a building of symbolism. Honestly half of you people act like its something disrespectful when you were probably fed with it as babies. Show some respect and maturity.

Yes there are 100s of buildings but a spiritual/ religious place taking leading step in such a good cause is really really good thing

I believe religious places should lead all good practices and also take lead in abolishing bad ones

I saw a report on Pakistan channel probably ARY that caretaker of Tomb let young people for money to go down an spend some time and that day I got shocked Gandhi G killed by extremist and now Mr. Jinnah's tomb used in such way.

The mosque can hold hundreds and thousands of people for prayers, moreover it is visited by hundreds and thousands more. It is a symbol which can be seen from many surrounding areas. Thus, serving as an awareness spreading tool.

People around the world are using or should I say abusing the sanctity of mosques to spread extremism and fitna, while in this case it is being used to spread awareness about a disease that kills millions of women every year. I am not a jurist, but I see nothing wrong with it, on the contrary I only see good.
