What tablet to buy

today's new tabs can run battlefield etc, my mind is still blown from that

Intel chips i suppose, mobile systems like tablet & cell phone always have better gpu processing power as most of their functionality is related to rendering on screen.

I'm looking to buy a tablet, never had one before so which one are the best ones? Never been a big tech fan or nerd about technology stuff.

What do you guys think of Google Nexus(2013)?

Nexus is amazing! I am using Nexus 2012 which is still doing great. It has large battery 4300 MAH and gives excellent timings. 2013 version is more powerful and have back camera but battery is bit smaller then old one. One thing you should keep in mind is the 7 inch size. Its great for reading books but if you would be watching movies or surfing lot of web then ipad mini provides better wider dimensions.

Another great feature that android offers in JellyBeans plus version is the ability to have multiple user accounts. This provides better privacy if you have to share the device with friends or family members.

£200 at the moment.

I did buy the nexus seven 2013 and its an ok tab to do the mundane works one has , but i think you should go for the iPad mini , it might cost a few thousand more but its worth it.

I've had a dell laptop and it has lasted me for some years. I do trust their products. Also I'm not a big fan of Apple products. Never owned anything from Apple.

I own a few dell devices found them to be great .But i do love apple, their build and ease with which i can use their devices is awesome , Please do not mistake me for an apple fan though , i just love devices.

Thats a older version, but nexus is better in cost to performance when compared to other devices. My only grouse is no sd card slot and higher cost for 3g model. Android is better any day , ipad apps are paid & surface has less apps on the market.

Its old version but still run very smoothly in all daily tasks and even gaming. I am not someone who just buy latest and fastest out there just for sake of it. I always buy those stuffs who give better value for money and can manage all tasks as effectively as all these latest devices. yes SD card is not there but for most people 32 GB is more than enough and also these days there are many cloud storage options and this 3g model is quiet cheap inhere just 10/15 pounds more..Ipad are shit and so are iphones. I hate itunes and these fuss of non supported formats of audio/video in Ios devices. I am some one who root devices, block ads, downlaod ******** and stuffs and run modified apps like whatsapp plus , crack version of youtube which let u donwlod mp3/mp4 straight from youtube, google play store give you more apps free of charge unlike ios

Thanks bro. This kind of makes it easy for me to pick out the best one for me, I think I might get ipad mini or the nexus. Although Ipad might just be the winner. Will check if both are available in my local Argos.

I'm now torn between buying a nexus or ipad mini.

I have Xperia Z2 tablet, never had a problem, clear images, battery lasts around 1.5 week using it 2-3 hours daily and its waterproof.

Well I purchased three of them when i went Pakistan and its been two years and they are still running smooth with latest lollipop. here its janbaaz who has to pick as per his needs/budget..battery life is another department where nexus tablets excel . You will not go wrong with iPad, or Microsoft Surface

A limitation with Apple tablets is that the phone function is lobotomized.
No Voice phone, no SMS.
Wi-Fi is less sensitive than the Samsung Android tablets.
