What tablet to buy

The new Surface looks good, thinking about buying it would serve well as a tablet when needed.

only thing is the top model with i7 processor is a dual core, not quad core.

I will need at least 16 gigs. No less will do!

when's 4 out ? might well be worth delaying a purchase for it if you're going for 3 and there is no urgency.

surface 4 is available in US now. The top model, if you directly convert the price, will come at around 1.7L INR. It comes with 16GB RAM and the dual core i7 processor. By the time it becomes available in India, options from Dell and Lenovo will also be available.So, should make a choice then.

Then you are good with the Mi pad. I had bought it @ 13K. Now with Amazon sale, you will get it at 10K. Awesome device, does all that you need, good full HD display.

As a matter of principle I don't buy Chinese Branded stuff - previously it was all made in China stuff but then life got too tough

I did buy the nexus seven 2013 and its an ok tab to do the mundane works one has , but i think you should go for the iPad mini , it might cost a few thousand more but its worth it.

surface 4 has intel's inbuilt gpu, so dont expect fireworks there. Surface book has nvidia gpu, decent, but its not a gaming platform really. It's meant to be ultralight, that's it. For gaming, get a desktop.

And 1.7L is not decent, its costly.

yup, 1.7 is srs monies for a tab.

most wont use a tab for gaming/3D rendering anyway but apart from stress tests, gaming performance is a nice way to check how much horsepower you're packing.

today's new tabs can run battlefield etc, my mind is still blown from that

Agreed price is simply not justified , can go for dell xps 12 (2 in 1) instead.

lenovo 900 is a good option.

Decide on the basis of requirement. forget gaming if buying a tablet.
