what role has india played in afghanistan?

He is right that India has no influence on Taliban but India has got unmatched influence on Afghan government, which is why RAW's closest ally in Afghanistan Amrullah Saleh is now all set to be Afghanistan's Vice President.

Meanwhile Pakistan has influence in Taliban but no influence on Afghan govt.

India has played a major role that is,

TERRORISM

through Afghanistan into Pakistan by some sold out individuals who grouped themselves into terrorist organization like TTP PTM etc.

and the Afghan government has got unmatched irrelevance in Afghanistan! Going by, a=b and b=c, you should pray the transitive law gets failed this time.

Afghan government controls 50-55% of territory whereas Taliban has only 10-15%.
Rest of the area is contested.

Thus Taliabn is far far weaker compared to Afghan government.

And afghan government is the weakest and the least influential party in the whole equation :( :(

Amrullah Saleh

So then why is US negotiating with the Talibans???

So that raw sponsored superman Amrullah Saleh won't beat Taliban
Taliban shudders at the thought of Amrullah Saleh coming back in power.
When he headed NDS between 2004-10, Taliban was at their weakest and started gaining strength only after he left.

So that Afghans can live in peace.
LOL thay was a good one.

BTW if US is interested in peace they can start by stopping their forces from killinv civilians as now they have even ctossed Talibans in this case.
