What Practices will You like to see abolish from India!!

Hey Guys ,
Im just wondering what kind of practices will You Not like to see in today`s India. and Why?

For me it has to be leaving dead bodies of Humans and Animals in Ganga. It just looks gross to see a video/ pictures of dead bodies floating. (Or does it has any religious significance apart from hear-say).
and what should be done to prevent it?

2 - We all know corruption (Dont even find a need to discuss it anymore)

3- Abortions.

4 - Finding a Baba (so called Holy man) and just follow him/ her without using a bit of common sense and knowledge. No baba can `give` one salvation...

These are a few on the top of my head.
Any thoughts!!
(Pls dont make it a Hindu vs Muslim thread and slander others religion)

I suppose one of the biggest blot on our society is Child Labor. A society that cannot treat its children well, has no right to call itself civilized.

Agreed with the First , cant believe I forgot to mention that :/

Aghori Cannabalism , isnt practised everywhere... (also it can wait)+ the onus lies on the Family of the deceased to burn the body proper. While some dont have anybody aage-peeche must be burnt in respective cremation ground by Local Municipally.
I will also like to add the idea that `we `in the civilized world think its wrong/ taboo , coz we have moved on from ourselves being cannibalistic.

Sati -Please dont believe into the Sati thing practiced today mate. There might be hardly 5-10 cases between 1.2 Billiion people living in India per year maybe less (my guess) but then again even that shouldnt happen.

Gender equality is a must. I have hope on this front going by recent activism.


Corruption

+ caste system is outlawed but still practices by certain sections of Indian society- this needs to go.

But a quick talk about the Mighty Ganga.

Back in teh days of ships the Brits Always almost exclusively used to bring back Ganaga water to Britain in big containers / Urns as it used to take a couple of months to get there by ship(Understandably) . Reason? Coz Ganga water was `tested` for NOT going bad unlike fresh waterfrom other water Rivers if stagnant !!

Nice one mate. The Govt has done lots but still loads to be done :/ I think the key is to Implement the current law and Not just write it in the Books . The other thing is to educate Middle Class and upoper middle+ higher class folks by discouraging them to employ children at their homes.

If the water is contaminated, that depends on what container you put it in

Im not pal. If U leave fresh water in a container after a while it WILL start to smell. Try it.
(we r talking about atleast 2 months period)
