What Muslim country is ideologically most similar to Pakistan?

You like Sultan Aurangzaib, i like him too because he killed marathas thats it. Sorry but, I dont see him as a great selfless islamic leader we need to emulate.

I am no one to question you. You are more than welcome to follow him.

one's opinion is that fiqh vs fiqh is what divides muslims. If a historical figure follows my fiqh, for me he is an ideal. Again nothing wrong with it. But that is not comprehensive thinking.

Anyone who likes his fiqh connects it with Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Anyone is welcome to do that. I follow hanafi fiqh ,everyone i know looks the world through that prism. its their choice. But in my opinion this is again factionalist thinking which does not allow us to see how islam was and is being used for simple power grab.

Like today many maulanas are only respectable figures because of their perceived khidmat of fiqhi thinking while BTS they are after power.

My opinion - The hole in our heart is actually the sectarian view point that is so ingrained that it has become an eye sight.

The historical fact is muslim civilization declined in baghdad, cordoba, persia and india precisely because rulers used islam to claim power which resulted in factionalism. Europe realized that and might rule for another 1 thousand years.

You are more than welcome to disagree or dismiss my opinion which is your right. But i dont see these things as you do.

Wish u all the best.

I prefer an optimistic outlook rather than the pessimism that many of us have become accustomed to.

I find alot of solace and pride in the heroism of my ancestors, their struggles, and their legact.

This is why I say that we are similar in historical outlook and religious ideology to Turks.

Whether we like it or not, we have to rise up to take the leadership of the Muslim world, we are the Eastern vanguard of the Islamic realm. We protect the heart of the Islamic world from this region.

In the same way, Turkey is the Western vanguard of the Islamic world. Both of us have taken in millions of refugees, it shows our commitment and our compass to the Islamic cause and the protection of Muslims.

The Indian and Pakistani muslims have more similarity than others. There are ofcourse differences as well but since the focu here is on similarities:
. both have a sizable mix of sects Sunni, Shia etc. Other countries with sizable muslim population are heavily skewed on one side or other
. both have and follow Sufi practices
. both have many cultural beliefs and practices inherited from Hindu/Jain/Bhuddist religions

.
I say none we are unique melting pot of different cultures and should stop comparing ourselves to Turks,Arabs or Persians but Ideally if there is a country we should have close cultural ties with its Iran and Afghanistan but sadly geopolitics and frankly past mistakes by leaderships in Kabul,Islamabad and Tehran skirted that than anything

Pakistanis worship Turks for some odd reason, makes me cringe.

Infidel Western ideology is breaching their youth. I expect most jits want to be like the rest of Europe.

"one" should refrain from opining all the time and do research from other than google and youtube. do you realize why or how Fiqhs came about? certainly NOT to divide you but to unite you. if it were not for them Fuqaha you would have become extinct by now (you were at each others throat like today). they taught you to tolerate one an-other's minor differences.

I cannot name a Muslim country. However, the country most ideologically similar to Pakistan is Israel.

Although, it is not necessary for the two nations to hold on to their ideology after the founding fathers died. Both nations have shown tendencies of deviating from the original mission of the founding fathers.

Anyway, their inception and the circumstances in which they were born, are quite comparable.

Yes exactly both were founded at the same time as a nation station for one group of people.

Respect to the Fuqaha.
My views on sectarianism dont matter - carry on the unity is at display for the last 1 thousand years with more madhabs and sects than hair on a camel.
May Allah SWT have mercy on us.
good day.

I know what you are getting at, but unlike Israel, Pakistan does not import coreligionists from across the globe to its lands to alienate the original inhabitants.

We are the original inhabitants and we are a religious and ethnic state both. We only took Muhajirs from Central India and Bihar at the beginning, after the initial few years we closed our borders.

We are much closer to fellow Muslim countries in our neighborhood than a Jewish settler state.

That comparison would earn you the scorn of masses of Pakistani people. We may infact be the most anti-Israel nation of all, we have yet to even recognize them.

our country came at the cost of Pakistani lives. Israel came into being through theft deception funded by Rothschild usury money.
