I did some research. harappadna.org is the source. Rajasthan rajputs have 48% of south indian and bhils 67%, as one can see there is huge difference between the two. And you was right bhils are not like Rajputs. But rajhastani rajputs are like dalits of punjab.

There will be few rare cases where they didn't mix with tribals. Otherwise it looks like they did, not suprised since they make 10% of population.
