In the past two decades or so I have been bitten badly on my investments in Pakistan namely in DHA/Bahria files, Shares in PSX and long term fixed interest Bank accounts. Unless there is no stable rupee rate there is no charm for Overseas Pakistanis apart from losing money for the love of the country. I hope the Roshan Digital accounts do succeed, but the GOP may find it hard to manage the interest payments in future as the things are going. Maybe in future might hold on to some Agriculture land, let's see.

In order to invest in residential and commercial properties in Pakistan, you need to follow the trends. Right now property prices have come to a halt thanks to the government's policies. I believe that the property prices will suddenly rise as soon as the 2023 elections end because we will most probably see an amnesty scheme to turn black money into white.

I believe property and construction business. It's recession proof as well because of the ever expanding population and it's housing needs.

Yes, buy farm land and grow food. :smitten: :pakistan:

manure is worth its weight in gold if you can harvest it store it distribute it.

i think pakstan should not imitate other countries but do industry based on its climate hot weather, man power, good soil, just need to create water saving techniques and efficiency.

Yes.
My Baharia Town Karachi house I purchased late 2020. It has appreciated a lot--from about $92,000 all included to at least $108,000. With population growth, real estate in Pakistan is going to keep going up and up. But if I was physically present in Pakistan, I probably would have invested in some kind of business. In an ideal world, would have opened some small hotel in hilly areas for not only revenue but also for personal and family use.

Right now the rate of property prices increasing has slowed down dramatically thanks to the increase in taxes for the sale and purchase of the property. Right now you should be holding your properties, don't even think about selling them. The property prices will most probably skyrocket as soon as the elections end because there will be an amnesty scheme as always for turning black money into white.

Value added stuff will make you money, ie where you create a product or sell a service. Right now lazy investments like property will not return in the way they used too.

gain taxes in psx are one of the highest in the region

choice of stocks is low .

small float means insiders can easily manipulate psx

in short - stay away from psx - not worth the time

------

i have moved entirely to US tech stocks ( TSM , NIO , etc ) .
