India spends 8 times more on defence as compared to Pakistan yet Pakistan has almost the same number of tanks + numerical advantage in gunships, self propelled howitzers ....others the difference is merely 1.5:1 or at max 2:1 , despite Pak being a smaller country, this shows Indian spending isn't effective, the stuff they purchase isnt worth the buck. Imagine their top supplier is US, they didnt buy any decent offensive weapon from them all these years except P8 anti sub warfare aircraft. Now compare the Pakistani acquisitions from US, which consist mostly of offensive weapons from MRAPS, F-16s, AIM 120 C, M109 Self propelled howitzers, cobras, super cobras, AH1-Z vipers plus tons of stuff. It is pretty embarrassing for Indians that an adversary with a smaller population, economy has done more effective & better acquisitions with limited economic resources.

3/4 of your aircrafts are 3rd Generation legacy of 70s, similarly low cost Chinese tanks including ancient T 59 which you upgraded to to AZ standard with only 300 ~ AK a mutation design of Russian Tank with 3rd party component.

Only advantage you have is SPGs and somewhat with older version of Cobra.

As for AIM 120 this is inferior to Russian R 77/RRV AE and R 27 E in service with IAF.

In a democratic set up military acquisitions are accountable to parliament and CAG.I don't think you know what CAG means as most of the Pak was under dictatorship.

Pakistan's spending on defense is over 3% of its GDP, whereas India spends about 1.8% of its GDP on defense.

The difference in the percentage is the reason why each year India is pulling ahead of Pakistan in economy. We spend on development. Pakistan is a security state held hostage by its military which soaks up over 40% of its national budget.
