PAF No. 6 Squadron "Striking Hearts" JFT for Ladies

[Military Photoshops News Desk : Defence Reporter] Pakistan Airforce No. 6 Squadron "Striking Hearts" which exclusively consists of Female Pilots of PAF , took its delivery of first JF-17 Thunder aircraft, painted in special markings . The original proposal from the Squadron Leader Miss Shagufta Karrar, on behalf of the whole squadron, was to paint the aircrafts in Pink Livery, but that request was denied by the PAF High command as it would seriously compromise camoflague during war time operations. As a sort of compensation for making it bit girly, Floral Patterns in matching color were painted on the aircraft, and squadron insignia "Striking Hearts" painted on the tail.

During an International exercise, when PAF pilots shot down three Italian Euro fighter Typhoons, in a moment of embarrassment, the Italian government suspended the supply of Vespa Scooters to Pakistan and threatened to provide pilot training facilities to one of our neighbours. To save Pakistan from being deprived of luxury scooters, PAF obtained a Euro fighter from a friendly country, painted it in PAF colours and as a tribute to this fine jet, used it to perform displays on the Air Force's day. Rumour that PAF was evaluating the Typhoon caused a storm in India and in desperation they concluded their MMRCA deal.

Oct-2003: Having removed the arms embargo, the relationships between Pakistan,US and NATO started to improve. PAF facing acute shortage of modern aircraft and capabilities decided to procure a stopgap combat platform into her service.Resultantly, a RFP was floated and two companies responded: 1)Lockheed Martin with Falcon C/D and 2)Grippen International with JAS-39 C/D. The final winner was a surprise, PAF had decided to procure Grippen instead of Falcon. According to PAF spokesman, grippen offered the competitive pricing and greater industrial interest. Resultantly, an order for three squadrons (54) was placed with an option for 18 more. The first squadron was raised at mianwali with Grippens replacing F-16As of 14th MR Squadron. Second Grippen Squadron was placed at PAF Minhas with Interception and Training role. The third squadron was renamed as "sea grippens" and replaced the mirages assigned to sea strike.

After induction in the PAF, The newly purchased Gripens were appropriately assigned to 9th(MR) Sq "The Griffins" who relinquished their F-16's to 14sq after taking on the type. As standard practice, 9th sq Gripens are a regular feature at the Combat Commanders School in Sargodha where they train in the art of air combat.

The two Typhoons procured by the PAF(one single seat and one dual seat) both ended up as adversary simulation DACT assets at the Combat Commanders School. Although they also proved useful to PAC for weapons testing as seen in this sortie carried out with a 9th Sq Gripen to verify the parameters for an upgraded R-Darter Missile against the AIM-120C-5.

The dual seat would be like this but with Composite, WS-13(100KN) and Advance avionics and weapons.

After losing out to the Mc Donnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle in the US, General Dynamics decided to market the F-16XL for export as the F-16E/F. The Americans recently had offered Pakistan some 30 Billion USD in Aid and assurance that Pakistan would have access to the latest in US technology and would be America's Israel in Asia in return for giving up on the Nuclear program. This offer was accepted by the leadership since it included kickbacks for all those in power.
The PAF command decided to exploit this opportunity to bolster its force by ordering additional F-16s which included C/D models.
However, the PAF still needed a deep strike aircraft to be able to tackle its potential threats and after evaluation ordered the cranked arrow F-16E/F. This aircraft offered commonality with its existing F-16 fleet along with packing enough fuel and electronics to be able to penetrate deep into enemy territory while retaining the ability to engage in Air combat.
The first unit to convert were the original F-16 units chosen for their prowess with the existing F-16's and 11sq based at PAF base Sargodha were soon flying the type operationally.
Also seen are CCS mirages particpating in the yearly High Mark games

After being cornered diplomatically, Pakistan had no choice but to give into international demands and mount a blind offensive against its populous under the guise of flushing out terrorists. This led to a massive bloody civil war that lasted for two years and a partial invasion by US troops, an agreement was reached that led to the renaming of Pakistan as the United People's of Pakistan with Twelve different states forming a union. These states had complete economic and social independent except agreeing to keep a common military and foreign policy with full support from the United States of America.
The newly formed UPAF continued to use the colours of its predecessor and with its new benefactor the USAF received F-35A aircraft in the winter of 2018, seen here flying from the Nawaz Sharif AB (named in the honor of the assassinated uncle of the Governor of the state of North Punjab) previously known as Mushaf AB.
