By 2014 the PAF realized that the slower and lighter K-8P simply could not fill the gap of the lead in fighter trainer left by the FT-5.After negotiations it was decided to purchase the Hongdu L-15 in some numbers to act as LIFT for pilots transitioning to the JF-17 and F-16 while the K-8P's were transferred back to BFT in Risalpur to replace the last of the T-37s.Seen at Mianwali departing for a mid-day Basic fighter maneuvering sortie as part of the strenuous training routine at No1 FCU

Used to see a fair amount of German automobiles with this paint. Pathetic, in my opinion. Some in Pakistan also do this.
