Pak Army is really strong and can put up a really good fight for 7-10 days .
The F16 are a real threat to india and as good as anything in IAF
Pakistan has good short range missle capability and good stand off weapons
The Big one Pakistan has nuclear card

Navy will be in real trouble and india will achieve sea supremacy quickly and block Pakistan trade routes and supplies
Pakistan reserves can only last 7-10 days as per recent pak dawn programme after recent LOC firing pak ran out of ammo quickly. india has more money and bigger reseves of ammo of all kinds
IAF has more 4th generation fighters by factor of 3-1 and longer range fighters.
india has far superior logistical support with 4 times the transport planes and 3 times as many helicopters.
Pakistan has no strategic depth and many of its biggest cities are close to border.
indian bases and infrastructure is huge three times the number of targets and over vast geography.
indian reserves and resources can outlast Pakistan by a fctor of 3 to 1 ie one week versis 3 weeks in a full scale war


Summary
Pakistan can never win a war against india it simpy lacks the resources and experience to do this. Any notion that this can or should happen is nonsense has india will get stronger over the next decade or two.,

But thanks to nuclear weapons india cannot attack and dismember Pakistan ever again either.

Personally I dont want Pakistan to suffer, all I want want to see a successful Pakistan along with a successful India Side by side. The last war or skirmish of any major consequence was fought in 99..hopefully that would be the last one ever.

Great thinking but in past 7 years we have seen that politicians are totally incapable of handling the issues. moreover they are always ready to rob the country's wealth and fly away. Army should also not perform the policing in cities, infra structure development, disaster management, flood releif as well but thats happening because of our failed politicians and institutions. Army is the only well stablished institution left so people look at them in any bad time. so we need a real leadership then army's role will be limited to borders automatically.

Do not agree, India has been trying to push in every direction, may it be trade with USA, Cricket or any other sport, water, Afghanistan, Iran, Middle East. You are lobbying working against Pakistan every where. Siachen was the same as Kargil but you have a lot of countries on your side due to China rivalry and Islamophobia, you are trying to capitalize on it. Push too much and results will not be good for the region. Now will India understand and change, highly doubt it.

Nobody is perfect. Even the the army made mistake by supporting barbaric Talibans which caused weponization of our society. Pakistani Talibans and other terrorist groups rose under the patronage of Pakistan Army and then went bezerk and attacked Pakistanis.

i was thinking about what the armed forces really need, to be able to match india conventionally, and I failed to think of any realistic solution.
The biggest issue is the navy/airforce, in order to hold our own against them the airforce would need atleast 100+ 4-5 generation aircraft in addition to the F-16s and JF-17BLK3s(the other blocks seem incapable of doing much) the navy would need a similar type of strike wing, and the army would need a massive Air defence network akin to what the arabs had agaisnt israel in 73. And with all this said none of what i stated is realistic.
i can see the pak army in its current form holding its own against the indian army if there was no air support for the indians but with constant airsupport the IA would be recieving it would only be a matter of time.

It is better for you to concentrate on the progress of your country, you people have no chance of conquering India for many decades to come from now, both conventionally or non conventionally.

Operation Parakram resulted in around 2000 Casualties for Indians trying to get to the border; Musharraf had no fear and responded by Mobilizing his forces; by the time half of India's army was mobilized, Pakistan was already dug in and awaiting orders. Pakistan Army decided to say there until Indians went home; and thats what exactly happend. Musharraf proved India twice that India is all talk and nothing else. 1971 was already a lost war, India came in late and took the credit for it.

Kid only after India mobilized 5lakh Soldiers and was ready Pa was mobilized... If India wanted then we would've attacked before Pakistan successfully Dug in. And in the Sea Our Ships were in Pakistani Coastal waters while PN ships were were hiding in.. only after Musharaf agreed to stop the infiltration and funding the militants India withdrew... Go read history. Whenever india was invaded from the West, the attacking armies were always smaller in size than the defenders but the defenders almost always lost. India has had aircraft carriers since the 50s but during wars they usually never leave their ports.

Pakistan has countered India conventionally for the last 68 years and will continue to do so.

Those days are long gone dude !

The institutions were corrupt and further corrupted by politicians, so do not blame Army, time everybody man up and owned the mistakes.
