She was unnecessarily hostile the last time she was in power. I hope BNP have realised by now that the practical stand is not to mess with Your large neighbor who surrounds you from three sides and actually wants good relations with you.

I want BNP to have friendly relations with us. I really dont know how BNP cant see how India can actually be pursuaded away from siding with Hasina if they play ball.

Of course these are outsider opinions and matter little. Whats bangladeshis think matters in the end.

An overpowdered hag well past her expiry date.

Bangladesh severely needs the next generation of leaders to take over from these two power-hungry women that have been on and off for decades now.

Didnt really like the way she let the JeI run the hate campaign against India. I really didnt see the need for supporting ULFA and other NE terrorists groups. She made herself in the bad books of India in the name of religion.

She and her party nowadays do not spit venom against India. Hopefully they have realised their mistake.

Why does she look like she has rubbed plaster of paris all over her face ?
Frankly, I don't care.

To be honest we pakistanis dont care who is in power in bangladesh or who is more popular there as we aren't competing with india there like afghanistan. However if i had to choose then khaleda zia is a much better leader according to me as a pakistani. It was duringg BNP govt that relationa between bangladesh and pakistan improved. Also she is not a puppet of india unlike hasina who wants to please india even over national interests

Oh please cut the crap. How is she pleasing India over national interests?

  1. Is she handing over ports and land to India (like Pakistan is doing to China, selling sovereignty to highest bidder)? NO
  2. Is her country showing improvement under most socio economic indicators better than Pakistan and India - YES
  3. Is she building a strong military for her nation, a first, and buying all her weapons from China and Russia? YES
  4. Has she achieved to persuade India to use non lethal means at border control - thus substantially reducing deaths? YES
  5. Has she fought and won a marine territorial claim against India (compare that with Chinese behavior with neighbors)? YES
  6. Has she been controlling islamist violence with an iron hand? YES
  7. Has she improved relations with her most important neighbor instead of hating them for religious mumbo-jumbo? YES
  8. Has she also improved relations with China and doing important projects (including military) with them? YES
  9. Has she concluded land exchange with India, with BD getting more land than India? YES

Your Idea, and you are a Pakistani so won't blame you, is that national interest, nay your identity, is ''hating India'' at the cost of 'national interest as understood by a rational mind'.

I think she needs a stylist, she looks positively weirdo with her powdered face, pink lip-gloss, dyed hair and almost non existent eyebrows!

Khaleda's chalice was poisoned at inception. She is the wife of Ziaur Rehman - himself not the greatest leader a country could have. Pro-Pakistani, '71-denying, anti-democratic and Jamaat-incubating. Sheikh Hasina, OTOH, carries behind her the legacy of a great father. She is trusted and has done an excellent job whenever in power.
