What Are You Listening to Right Now - Round 2

.
@jamahir , @Hell hound , @Mentee , @Zibago ... aaj mood barra aashiqaana hy... and simultaneously sad...

Then let me add to your aashiqana plus sad mood :

"Zihaale-masti mukun baranjish"

Especially the lines :

Woh aake pehlu mey aise baithe
Ke shaam rangeen ho gayi hai
Zara zara si khili tabiyat
Zara si ghamgeen ho gayi hai

The music and mood reminds me of the "Yad lagla" song from the superhit Marathi language film Sairat.

The herone, Sneha Ullal, is so very like Aishwarya Rai, down to the eyes and the ancestry from Mangalore ( from the father's side ). Word has it that Salman cast Sneha in this role to make Aishwarya jealous.

Another two roomani but sad songs from the same film :

"Shayad yahi toh pyar hai"

"Sun zara".

Magar hy aisa ? Nahe nahe....

And i never liked ashwarya. Not my type or maybe i think she is overhyped ? Don’t know.. but this sneha.... i watched the movie many times just to see her again and again :P

. . .
Do you mean "wajid" ??

No.

Spiritual ecstasy... used in Sufism.

This bliss is one of many signs of the commencement of spiritual development in the disciple and also the opening for inspirations and spiritual abilities and powers. In its purest forms, Wajad is a pure state of eternal peace. Some Sufis enjoy Wajad while listening to poetry, with or without music...

though it's more related to zikr... but my state of wajd is due to something else.

. .
The visuals remind me of Blade Runner.

Here is some of Blade Runner's music.

Now you are talking my language! Vangelis was a master of his art! I love the heavy jazz-synth cityscape themes too and the great outro theme at the end too. I actually once was in a (quieter) downtown tokyo bar on a rainy evening with a friend...with a good view of the surrounding streetscape...sipping a drink... and they just happened to be playing some of the Vangelis Bladerunner themes...it was quite a nice moment...Tokyo to me is the most "Bladerunner" style of city out there right now imo.

That said, the lighter, floatier yet delectable Tears in rain theme is my absolute favourite from the movie though:

I've.... seen things you people wouldn't believe.... attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.

I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.

All those.... moments... will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain.

Rutger Hauer's best cinematic moment too! Its crazy he came up spontaneously with the ending (which in a way really defines the whole movie)..and they rolled with it because it was so darn good! I know somewhere up there P.K Dick was smiling in approval...

@VCheng @Joe Shearer @Jungibaaz @Avicenna @Path-Finder @Zibago @Hell hound @Mage

.

Feeling a bit nostalgic :D
@Nilgiri @jamahir @RealNapster @Tps43

interesting fact I learned they used the props from the movie "Escape from New York" to show the city in blade runner.

Totally agree! I'm a fan of old Skool rap and hip hop.

Especially a lot of 80s stuff like Eric B & Rakim and Grandmaster Flash.

That was the good skool rap, then NWA came on the scene. But All good rap ended in 1999 because it became mainstream commercialised crap. Gone was the real urban street vibe of the hustling, wheeling dealings and the ho's:(.

That scene was awesome (RH in Ladyhawke was another great performance). I still remember thinking of all the implications of Man as Creator after seeing the movie. Are we mature enough to play God? Will we ever be so?

Yes, it must have been quite a moment.

I haven't seen other films of RH but I agree that the ending is one of the best cinematic moments.

I didn't know that.
