Hmm, interesting point. But can you imagine Asian colonies in the Americas, Africa, Middle East. Knowing our (East Asian) tendency of ...making areas into our own, i don't think we would have just merely conquered those regions, but I think we would have inter-bred with local people. We would have bred them out , literally.

Japan , when we colonized Hokkaido, we didn't exterminate the Ainu, rather, we bred with them. We married their women until all of Northern Japan was completely assimilated (culturally and racially).

Heck, even when we conquered Taiwan and Korea, we didn't exterminate the native Koreans and Taiwanese, but on the contrary, we implemented a policy of forced assimilation. They were forced to adopt Japanese identity (names, lifestyle etc). To become, literally, Japanese. In fact , hypothetically speaking, if Japan did not lose the war, I have no doubt that in a century or two, Koreans and Taiwanese would have become Japanized as the Ainus.

I think if Japan colonized parts of America, we would have carried out the same Japanification assimilation process.
