We should not be too quick to put blame on others, counting their national weaknesses in history , present. Rather, we should consider also our own national weaknesses. It is through austere introspective analysis and one's internal locus of control that one can identify the problems, threats, and solutions. Find the error in one's own community , first. Exactly. The list is not to whine or ask for their understanding. It is only to show that we are politically conscious.

I love an arrogant and aggressive Chinese government and bureaucracy rather than a meek and mellow one.

For example, I loved the new anti-terrorism law. I also loved how Western NGOs are being kicked out together with their middle-aged pedophile workers.

well judging from the historical point of view, the Central kingdom in Asia changed hand about 20 times during the last 5000 years, the prospect of Asia being modernize first does not look good, it will either killed a lot of people faster or have no war at all, but for that to happen, the society have to be highly evolve

Dont forget, during the warring period of Europe, a lot of civilization have been extinguished during all those war, we should be glad that asia is not as advance as the European, otherwise a lot of Asian culture would have been gone down the drain

Knowing our (East Asian) tendency of ...making areas into our own, i don't think we would have just merely conquered those regions, but I think we would have inter-bred with local people. We would have bred them out , literally.
