West Bengal name change to "Bangla" and Bangladesh's national anthem dilemma

So when are you converting?
It was not wise for you to ask a Sudra Untouchable from India to become a Muslim. He will pollute us.

meditation, karma, dharma(dhamma), moksha(nirvana) heard of this terms, actually both the religion influenced each other.

Buddhist philosophy is quite different from Hinduism in its depth of suppressing the wishes of human being. Many of other religions are concentrated on physical rituals only and are without a philosophy.

The Ten Precepts of Buddhism are as follows:

1) I undertake the mind training which consists in abstention from killing living beings.
2) I undertake the mind training which consists in abstention from taking the not-given.
3) I undertake the mind training which consists in abstention from sexual misconduct.
4) I undertake the mind training which consists in abstention from false speech.
5) I undertake the mind training which consists in abstention from harsh speech.
6) I undertake the mind training which consists in abstention from frivolous speech.
7) I undertake the mind training which consists in abstention from slanderous speech.
8) I undertake the mind training which consists in abstention from covetousness.
9) I undertake the mind training which consists in abstention from hatred.
10) I undertake the mind training which consists in abstention from false views.

Damn - Principles 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 are being broken here in PDF every friggin' day.

It is very obvious that hindusism prevailed even before buddhidm was even found. I m not sure why this simple fact is so difficult to understand. I do not deny Buddhism in Bengal, hindusim existed even before that. What do you smoke ? You don't get this simple fact.
So where's the Indian history books?? Show me. I have evidence on my side....archaeological evidence...show me your reference.

An important Note.

Some references indicate that the primitive people in Bengal were
different in ethnicity and culture from the Vedic people beyond the
boundary of Aryandom and who were classed as " Dasyus". The
Bhagavata Purana classes them as sinful people while Dharmasutra of
Baudhayana prescribes expiatory rites after a journey among the Pundras and Vangas.

Can you send us a list of history books that you have read so far so that we can make a laboratory test of them to know which part of your statement is true and which is fiction? Do not appreciate your Hindu religion to the extent that something of a new and good religion would come out of it.

The caste system is the basis of Hinduism that started and was imposed by the foreign Aryans who domiciled in the north India about 5000 yrs. ago to the local Sudras like you. Aryans remain high caste and the local Indians remain Sudra. By that imposition of Hindu religion, many of the local people of India are even UNTOUCHABLE.

Buddhism, on the other hand, shuns the caste system and Gautam Buddha taught the equality of all human beings. Buddhism is opposite to what Hinduism is. Buddhism is south pole if Hinduism is the north pole. So, Buddhism is not an offshoot of Hinduism. I am surprised Indians still go to TOLE and the Tikkiwala Pundits teach them all the wrong histories.
I am not going to reply to an ignorant.

Who questioned your evidence ? Buddha himself was an Hindu. Only his followers belonged to Buddhidm. Is this single fact not sufficient to prove what I said ? Hinduism is the earliest of all religions in sub-continent. Rest came very very late when Hinduism flourished and ruled....
So, the name bangla doesn't even make a sane person think of muslims. Bangla means not a muslim but hindu/buddhist as you insist.

Banga isn't a vedic name either. It's older than that. It has no connection with hinduism at all.

How it is older than Hinduism? Bengali/bangla language was itself derived from Sanskrit. How can it precede Hinduism ? Isn't your claim funny ? See, even if aeons of you claim royalty to bangla tradition no one is going to agree. Bangla means Hindus. Your ancestors rubbishes Hindu tradition and embraced other religions then why do you still cling on bangla ?

Bangla derived from the tibbetian word Bong which means low lying Marshy area.. or Vanga of Australoid origin which means A sun God.

There is no Sanskrit Banga or Bangala as you believe.

please stop imagining things without even reading about it.

You have to read correct history. Bengali derived from sanskrit. Compare the scripts of Sanskrit, Hindi and Bengali. You will clearly see. Man I don't understand why this simple facts is so difficult for dimwits to comprehend. Seriously man, u guys have been programmed by your government.

Bengali script is mostly derived from Siddham script.

Siddham and Devanagari scripts are both children of Gupta script, which is the son of Brahmi script.

Content wise the basis from Sanskrit and Prakrit on the Bengali language is undeniable.

I would also like to add that bengali is heavily influenced by Sanskrit. More than 40% of bengali vocabulary is native to Sanskrit. Just like how Kannada has Telugu words and Malayalam has Tamil words.

Yup, its funny how they are trying to rid Sanskrit basis of Bengali when even Tamil has much sanskrit influence (and actually much reverse influence too they are finding in a broader sense)....and Central and Southern parts of India were not even Vedic hearth kingdoms. The fire sacrifices did not come to Southern India till the late iron age (somewhat post vedic) which lead to Sangam period and the real flourishing of Tamil language and base culture.

Granted Bengali has much Prakrit Vernacular too...it is what makes the language have its own character.

But I would say Sanskrit did not even influence Bengali....but formed the basis of it (given even Prakrit is ultimately Sanskrit derived with mix of local Dravidian and Austronesian languages). It is the vehicle that makes Bengali an Indo-European (Aryan) language in the first place.

The arrival of Sahabi Abu Waqqas during the life-time of the holy Prophet PBUH to the conquest by Gen Bakhtyar Khilji is the crucial period when Islam made a strong base in the great Delta.Thereafter Islam prospered here nurtured carefully by the people. And Muslims expanded. It is a matter of time before another form of political identity emerges here. It could be BANSAM or an Islamic Republic of Mashriq or something like that.

Buddha himself was an Hindu.

By the same token, the forefathers of Muhammed (s.a.w) were an idolater and Kaaba Sharif had 360 idols. Are you really with a feeble mind to understand what you write?

But did Mohammed take established precepts in his ancestors religion as the basis for his own (like the Buddha did)....or did he simply supplant what he saw being practiced by the Abrahamic monotheists?

Is Islam considered to be in the same family of Arab Paganism....like Buddhism is considered to be in the Dharmic family?
