USSR does not exist anymore. Everybody knows that America has caused much more damage to the world than USSR/Russia. You being Pakistani should know this. 80 000 casualties and 150 billion USD in economic damage. Around 16 000 terrorist attacks and 3.5 million Pakistani citizens displaced from their homes. Do I need to say more?
Soviet Union invasion did create bad effects for Pakistan. No doubt... The WOT caused far more damage than USSR invasion of Afghanistan. The world was different back in the 1980s.
Russia never invaded Chechyna. You cant invade your own country. That would be like saying that Pakistan invaded Balochistan because thousand of baloch freedom fighters declared war for independence. Any country would have done the same. Chechyna is a part of the Russian Federation. There was two wars in Chechyna in the 1990s, but no invasion.
Russia did invade Georgia. True... I am not saying Russia is perfect, but compare invasion of Georgia with a US invasion. You will get the difference. Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014? Crimea is disputed and actually historically been a part of Russia. That is not a invasion. If Russia launched a full scale invasion they would be in Kyiv in a matter of weeks. The funny thing is that no country would defend Ukraine against Russia.
BTW how is Libya doing after the USA and its dog(NATO) attacked it in 2011? I heard it became a failed state with a civil war. Sad right? Considering that before the attack it was one of the few debt free countries. With a HDI higher than Russia, China and Turkey. How a country can go from being a " high-development country" to a failed state only in a decade.
"You are allowed to critic any country or entity but try to be fair in your judgements". Thank you. I recommend the same to you since most of your posts are clearly biased in favour of the USA. I am sure I am not the first one to notice this. Also I dont know if you have been to USA or not? I have family in the USA and I know very well how they treat Pakistani's.
"You are in a NATO dog state by the way". I think I already know that I live in a NATO dog state. If Pakistan attacked a country on behalf of Russia and China. Bombed, invaded, killed and raped its people I would call Pakistan a Chinese/Russian dog state
But we dont do that because we prefer peace.
1. Russia was the core Soviet Socialist Republic (SSR) of the former USSR and continues to work on its lines on many counts. Therefore.
2. Subjective assertion.
3. Who is responsible for 9/11?
Hint: Al-Qaeda Network.
Al-Qaeda Network was one of the unexpected byproducts of the Soviet Afghan War.
Nicely explained in following link:
Lt. General (R) Tariq Khan, Ex-Head of Pakistan’s Central Command, opines that it has taken Pakistan many lives and a lot of treasure to achieve peace. It is time to consolidate the concept of how this State ought to function in the future. He asks "will madrassas, maulvis and extremists be...

Soviet Afghan War produced long-term cascading effects which came back to haunt both USA and Pakistan in the shape of War On Terror. Try to understand the bigger picture.
4. Russo-Chechyna War was a byproduct of the collapse of USSR in 1991. Chechyna wanted to split from modern Russia on similar lines as other SSR but was not allowed to because it was perceived to be a part of Russia
itself.
In the largest Russian military offensive since the 1979 invasion of Afghanistan, thousands of troops and hundreds of tanks pour into the breakaway Russian republic of Chechnya. Encountering only light resistance, Russian forces had by evening pushed to the outskirts of the Chechen capital of...

You find Russian rationale for this war justifiable
but you do
not find Ukrainian claim over Crimea justifiable?
Is this
not double standards on your part?
5. Difference is that Russia continues to absorb more territory from nearby countries over one pretext or the next. These countries are unable to fight back.
USA is not trying to expand its borders by force over one pretext or the next. USA had an excuse to annex Cuba by force in the 1960s but it did not, for instance.
6. Libyan Civil War have its roots in the so-called Arab Spring phenomenon.
A sensible leader commits to good governance
and understands
when to step down and give chance to new people.
Muammar Qaddafi ruled over his country for too long and underestimated the scale and depth of political resentment against his long-lasting rule in Benghazi.
Here is a timeline on the civil war in Libya since the first protests began against the 42-year rule of Muammar Gaddafi in February:

Here in Pakistan, people were tired of giving Nawaz Sharif more terms, and decided to try new people. Now try to imagine how some felt in Libya.
Political resentment against Qaddafi reached boiling point in 2011 and Benghazi rebelled consequently. Libyian Civil War began
and NATO took advantage of this development.
I can see the basis of criticism of intervention of NATO in Libya in person
but the alternative was to watch a massacre in Benghazi unfold because Libyan armed forces had surrounded it under the order of Qaddafi.
The entire chapter is a
Tragedy due to
Greed and
Ego of 'one' man. This is how I see it.
6. It is very easy for you (and people of similar mindset) to see biases in others including in my case, but are you
Neutral and
Fair in your judgements as well?
The answer is NO: see above.
Since you are very eager to accuse me of being biased in favor of the West, below are but 'some' examples of my criticism of the West and more:
I don't find Russia launching imperialist wars. And though I don't think of China as communist enough I will grant that it limits its influence-building within collaborating and not through regime change. 1. Chechnya 2. Georgia 3. Ukraine 4. Syria Why just abolish veto power, why not abolish...

PDF have a Search System. How about you put it to good use and see yourself?
Now I shall remind you of some rules:
PDF Philosophy and vision:
PDF wishes to be a platform for ideas to be discussed openly and in a cordial productive manner. The reason for IDs where you can have a relatively high degree of anonymity is for you to do away with your person and be your ideas. However, that does not mean that the person behind the keyboard ceases to exist and therefore; we have these rules to enforce that environment where ideas can be exchanged, challenged and projected freely.
Ethnic / political / nationalistic hate
Needless to say, PDF wishes to be a productive exchange of ideas and not a place of spreading communal, national, political or religiously motivated hatred. Members found involved in such activities would be severely penalized.
Other forms of discrimination
Same goes for ethnic or nationalistic discriminatory views, aimed at stereotyping and berating members belonging to a specific area, country, religious, ethnic group
Indoctrination
Sharing of information garnered at indoctrination of the public are not allowed. That includes political / religious / ethnic indoctrination are not allowed at PDF and would be penalized.
Political name calling
Using politically degrading names are not what PDF stands for and this applies for every country. PDF is politically neutral.
Any ambiguity?
7. You admitted that you live in a NATO
dog state but you do not seem to respect it in your discourses. Your argument is that NATO bombed/invaded/killed/raped people in other countries.
OK.
But what about your principles then? Why you choose to live in a NATO
dog state then? Why not move to Russia since it is so much better as per you?
Hypocrisy much?
You might score some brownie points by ridiculing much of the West on PDF
but you are
not fooling the Allah Almighty who will judge you by your deeds in the end.
Moral dilemma, right?
Do not worry - I can provide some direction to you:
How about 'some' effort on your part to be
Fair in your political criticism of 'any' country and dial down your ridicule of the West a notch so you might not offend other members with your posts?
I am your friend after all.
I am not addressing you in this thread due to my
alleged liking of NATO
but on the grounds of Moderation.
WE can discuss this further in Private if acceptable to you. Thank you.
