1.Haubits FH77 a.k.a "The Bofors Gun"
Popularly called the Bofors Gun ,this 155 mm howitzer was instrumental for the Indian Army in winning the Kargil War. 410 guns and support systems were purchased in 1986,which also kick started an infamous scandal.
According to pak journo Najam Sethi the "Big Indian Guns" (Bofors Gun) made the same effect in Kargil as the Stingers in Afghan war.
Pakistani intruders were confident that Indian Army will never be able to pound their positions with effect as they expected only mortar and light artillery. They were proven wrong when the Bofors began to pound them with its brutal 155mm rounds. That wasn't enough, the shoot and scoot ability of the bofors ,thanks to its auxilary power unit that allowed it to move at an speed of 5km/hr allowed it to shift posittions after each shot thus fooling enemy weapon locating radars.
The bofors gun helped us reduce many casualities and literally turned the course of the war.

6.SLR (Self Loading Rifle)
The Self Loading Rifle –SLR was a copy of the famed FN FAL’s british version. This gun was however considered a distinct weapon as its parts were not interchangeable and had several modifications.
The SLR was the standard issue rifle of IA for a long time before being replaced by the INSAS. The SLR offered a paradigm shift for IA from the ordinary bolt action .303 rifle to a modern automatic rifle.
7.Mirage 2000-LGB Combo
Again back to the 1999 kargil war, when IAF took the task of helping the IA in smoking out the well dug in enemy occupying the heights. The situation called for precision strikes and IAF used its premier fly-by-wire fighter the French Mirage 2000 along with Thomson-CSF Laser Designator Pod, known as ‘ATLIS’ which was capable of delivery of Matra 1000 kg LGBs, which were purpose built for destruction of reinforced targets. These weapons were highly capable but were very expensive. It was decided to augment their capability by adding the 1000 lb bomb coupled with Paveway II laser-guided bomb kit. The IAF had ordered a number of these, but they had been supplied with an incorrect part. Because of the nuclear test performed by India, they were on the embargo list and were unable to get the correct parts sent as replacements. Consequently IAF technicians had to remanufacture this part in order to make the Paveway serviceable for use on the Mirage.
