If you look at the JF-17 Project, the Engine and Avionics is coming from outside like many other things. So, ToT doesn't mean that we will start making 100% components and Engine in Pakistan

At the very least we will get the expertise of creating Helicopter Structures which will eventually give us precious expertise and know how of making Helios.

Engine and avionics are from friendly countries. Russia and China would not even comment whether Pakistan tested nuclear or not. But not western countries. Worst of all , its trumpland reign who is a hardcore racist. He block the seven countries from entering US shows sign of warning.

Buying with US component is the worst decision and China would not provide engine for T-129. You either buy Z-10 or forget about getting sub component from China.

TAI Genel Müdürü Temel Kotil İstanbul Düşünce Vakfı’nın toplantısında T129 ATAK Helikopteri ve Hürkuş’taki son gelişmeler hakkında bilgiler verdi.

TAI Genel Müdürü Temel Kotil, İstanbul Düşünce Vakfı tarafından düzenlenen toplantıda “ATAK helikopterimizi kontrollü olarak satabiliyoruz, önümüzdeki aylarda Pakistan’a satacağız” dedi.

Pakistan Kara Havacılık Komutanlığı’nın isteği doğrultusunda T129 ATAK Taarruz ve Taktik Keşif Helikopteri 21-31 Mayıs 2016 tarihleri arasında Pakistan’ın zorlayıcı iklim ve coğrafi koşullarında, Pano Aqil’de 50 derecede yüksek sıcaklık testlerini, Himalayalar’ın başlangıcı Hindikuş Dağları’nda ise 14.000 feet’te yüksek irtifa testlerini gerçekleştirmişti.

Öte yandan Kotil, Milli Savunma Bakanı Fikri Işık’ın Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii tesislerini ziyareti sırasında gündeme getirdiği ‘İnsansız Hürkuş’ konusunda ise büyük bir ihtimalle insansız modelinin yapılmayacağını söyledi.

TAI General Manager Temel Kotil gave information about the latest developments in T129 ATAK Helicopter and Hürkuş at the Istanbul Thought Trust meeting. TAI General Manager Temel Kotil said in a meeting organized by the Istanbul Thought Foundation that "ATAK can sell our helicopters under control, we will sell them to Pakistan in the coming months."

If they have passed the tests Pakistan should get them but with TOT. By the way we need to get engine from some other source.

I presume we will sign the deal only after 2017 budget announcement. For now our major finance is going for the procurement of 8 Chinese subs which itself worth $4 Billion.

Also after US sanctions on Pakistani missile production entities, buying US made weapons or partial US made - will be a tricky deal.

I think PA is in finalizing the deal of T-129's and in coming months we will see another break-through in Milgem Corvette deal as well .. I hope Pakistan will buy at least 50+ unit of T-129 and replace them with Aging Cobra, and also keep the 15 AH-Z1's with a follow up Order of 15 more .. Inshallah

discussions are certainly ongoing, whether they agree is a different matter. the engine NOC could be the main stumbling block. the Turkish pres. during his last visit also tweeted that Turkey will sell 40 helos to Pakistan. the other issues is availability of funds (at least 1.6B$) for which turkey was prepared to offer a soft loan of 400M$. interesting times ahead.

Engine is the main headache for both turkey and Pakistan. Though turkey is developing engine for it's helicopter god's knows when those will be reliable enough to use in T-129 .
Another source of engine could be Chinese of their WZ-10 .

China will not sell engine to Turkey to help them destroy our Z-10 gunship deal to PA.
