We will crack Patriot missiles (Putin)

If Russia could manufacture Javelin style top-attack ATGM it would have done so already on it's own.

Every Javelin requires somewhat sophisticated seeker and microchips.
Good point.However it's much easier to reverse engineer a product once you have it in your hands than build it from scratch.If China,Turkey and South Korea were able to make ATGM's with similar characteristics on their own(HJ 12,Karaok and Raybolt) and Iran was able to make a copy of SPIKE (ALMAZ) i don't see why Russia couldn't do it with Javelin.
They will probably find a way around getting microchips just like they did in past through civilian companies.

by the way if we can build a missile like Almas (Spike copy) or Top Attack version of Tow missile why you think Russia cant build something like javelin

no access to high tech anymore.... even China dont sell them this stuff anymore...and with penioneers infront of banks demanding access to their Rubels I dont see Russia be able to do much about it...

Russia actually have fabs , so it's strange to claim they can't build the systems there , also nobody also was ready to deal directly with us , we just learned to make deals in manners that nobody understood its with us , they also can learn those , unless there is some reason that they are incapable of those

Well, you seem to not include in your writing that Iranians had to search for alternatives the last 4 decades.
Iranians (& North Koreans) know how to get their hands on foreign stuff and then copy that.
Russians ... Putin ordered them to make "all made in Russia" but bc of this systematic corruption they just repaint western delivered stuff and press a "made in Russia" on it.
Iranians/Norks were FORCED to deliver (sure, much corruption too but that was mostly in different cases), Russians weren't until Feb 2022.

because they cant... they dont produce their own chips they even need Thales from France to build thermal view for their T-14... Russia is NO production powerhouse... they cant even build stuff their citizen daily need... no TV, dishwasher, mobile phones, computer, cars (decent quality) etc.Their whole economy is based on selling resources like oil and gas and military equipment...both of them are cut into pices by the sanctions

today 19°C doing good in west europe Germany gas reserve is increasing again thx to the realy mild winter currently after only one week of extrem cold...the winter card does not work

they just have to optimize the code , I'll be more worried they have problem finding tape cassettes to hold the programs for those commodore 64 , the wear and tear on those equipment was outrageous
by the way commodore 64 actually have enough memory for telnet , what I'm worried is by the speed they are moving they very soon may bring out first generation IBM-PC to replace those commodore-64 and want to use them for the work those commodore did , you knew Commodore-64 actually was better than first IBM-PC
What early 1980s computer was faster, the IBM PC or the Commodore 64? The IBM PC ran an 8088 at nearly 5MHz, whereas the C64 ran a 6502 variant at 1MHz. The PC cost thousands of dollars, the C64 hundreds. The PC had a 1 megabyte address space; the C64 only 64K. Is this a trick question?

It is! The C64 was faster. The original IBM PC, despite appearances and bias on the part of both consumers and marketing, was actually the slowest popular personal computer on the market at the time of its release, even compared to the Apple II and Atari 400. Here’s why.

The 8088 holds an uncomfortable position between the realm of 8-bit and 16-bit personal computing; while the internal word size was indeed 16-bit, the 8 in 8088 means that its external data bus was only 8 bits wide. This means that the 8088 could only access one byte of data in a single bus operation, giving it speeds much more like an 8-bit personal computer than a 16-bit one. Normally this is no big deal; the 6502 used in the C64 had the same limitation. But unlike the 6502, which could access a byte in a single cycle, the 8088 took 4 cycles to access that same byte. Another way of looking at this: every time memory is touched, the 8088 wastes 75% of its cycles, effectively turning the IBM PC from a 4.77MHz computer into a 1.1925MHz computer. This gave it a “lead” of only 0.1695 MHz over the C64.

If it still had a slight lead, then why was it slower? While the 8088 could indeed operate on 16 bits at a time, the machine instructions were between 2-4 bytes large, and only the simplest instructions took 2 cycles to execute. Contrast that with the 6502, where most instructions are 1 byte large and most execute in 1 cycle.

Let’s illustrate this with a fun example: Rotating a byte of memory once using ROR (rotate right). We’ll keep it fair by treating the PC like it only has a single 64K segment of memory. First, the 6502 version using ROR:

What took 6 cycles on the C64 takes 37 cycles on the IBM PC, no thanks to the slow memory access of 4 cycles per byte. Taking both machine’s clock speeds into account, this means the operation takes about 6 microseconds on the C64 and about 8 microseconds on the IBM PC. It can get much worse than that, especially if you’re foolish enough to access more than a single 64K memory segment. IBM PC is teh suck! (*)

The gap between the IBM PC and the Atari 400 is even wider, if you can believe that, because the Atari 400 ran the 6502 faster (1.78MHz) than the C64 (1.026 MHz). The BBC Micro? 2MHz! It’s painful to think about!

Another C64 fan I see... I had one of the first C64's with the original 8010 Modem inPakistan, it was all thanks to my uncle who was a computer engineer for PIAC (Pakistan Airlines):

This worked by putting the telephone reciever over it and then executing the command - at the time only one company in Pakistan BrainNet offered dial up facility:

Young children thesedays don't even know what it was like accessing BBS using telnet.

Interesting fact - BrainNet was founded by Amjad Farooq Alvi who was the creator of the first ever mass replicating computer virus - also called Brain.

Ah, now I'm envious , I wanted one of those modems in early days but I could not get one.
C-64 have always had a soft spot in my heart . our school lab was equipped with C64 and we learned programing on it.
I recall I would go to my uncle home to train on it , he had one C-64 that he used, well for gaming.
later for myself I Get an Amiga-500 and then my first PC was 80386sx with a whooping 2mb of Ram that i don't knew what to do with it and 40mb of HDD that I thought I would never be able to fill

In the short term it will damage Russia.

In the long term it could damage USA customers of military expensive weapons.

If something like this story repeats https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran–U.S._RQ-170_incident with all the expensive western military hardware sent to Ukraine.

USA is protected by two oceans. Even if Russia reverse engineering and hack all American military hardware, it wont damage USA.

But customers like GCC, Japan, South Korea and Europe will be fck up.

Sure it could damage USA customers in long term, but Patriots have been used against Houthis launching ballistic missiles. Still didn't deter them from buying them. All we know is that Russia doesn't like them being sent to Ukraine.
