because riots polarize people... instead of voting based on issues like poverty, corruption, roads you vote for safety... so hindus vote for people who promise to protect hindus and muslim do similar.

If Muslims would be doing the same then you would have seen AIMIM getting elected everywhere when there is good muslim vote. But that didn't happen.

MIM is a regional party, its only recently they started to expand and field candidates with some success in maharastra. they will face stiff competition from other muslim parties like muslim league in kerala. There is no way they can penetrate kashmir for example, the local parties are just too strong.

the places where riot happens, if muslims are minority, they do tactical voting(voting as a block to defeat bjp, that candidate could be congress, sp or bsp depending on area)

US is superpower as it has many allies around the world.
No matter how rich and militarily powerful China gets, it cannot hope to become a true superpower unless it can convince a good chunk of humanity that it is a force for good.
