With respect and you I know I hold you as PDF's "air" expert but there is such a history of Pakistan's acquiescence to US belligerance that I will go into 'wait/see' mode until I am convinced that finally Pakistan is challanging US actions as opposed to fake posturing to fool the public. We saw that with the drone affair when we had Pak officials lambasting Americans but the truth was drones were being flown from a airbase from inside Pakistan. Thus my extreme scepticism.

Those actions were indeed taken with Pakistan on board and mostly restricted to the border areas, no direct threat of actions against mainland ever existed.... it's not a question of WOT anymore.

Well, let's see how things play out. I certainly think it is time for Pakistan to not cut off from USA but some posturing or "sabre rattling" needs to be done. Maybe time to slow down on the US supply lines and see if their "buddies" Russians or Iranians will help them to supply their troops in Afghanistan.

In a ideal world we want US kicked out of Afghanistan. Then the countries that are neighbours to Afghanistan and have primary interests - that is Pakistan, Iran, Central Asia with Russia/China giving support need to sort out the mess in Afghanistan over the long term. We have to. It's geographic reality. But it has to be done by those in the region. Not India or USA. Both are distant.
