The word being used is heard as "Were" as compare to "ARE". Furthermore, the whole statement is done in past tense/past reference like "once upon a time" "India was". Also, there is statement in start of video in Bangla language so that if anyone can translate that properly; the subject may be allowed to continue or otherwise, will be closed for further discussion.
