If India was allowed 20% of water, why did Pakistan objected to this project to begin with?

India started work on this project in 1984 and according to the original plan, the barrage was expected to be of 439-feet long and 40-feet wide, and would have a maximum storage capacity of 0.30 million acres feet of water.
Work was stopped in 1987 following Pakistan’s claim that it violated the World Bank-brokered 1960 IWT.

“Despite Pakistan objections to the construction of Tulbul navigation project, the government of India has refused to stop the work. As there is escalating tension between India and Pakistan, we have been directed to complete the project at the earliest. It would take us less than one year to complete the project,”

Shells they do not. And India never has to cross the line. Brilliant.

So we dont have shells to respond to Indian firing on LOC and IB? How old are you? Who do you think is responding to IA and killing your men all this time? Must be aliens.

Pakistan objected on design which was supposedly diverting more water which is a genuine concern. Anyways I am no expert on IWT and niether are you.

Well I just shared what Modi did on IWT after the issue was raised.

Eventually the Pakistanis will have to come around. Their nukes are not going to put water in their parched soil.

I appreciate the hardball Modi is playing here. Be a bigger friend if they behave. Hit them hard and relentlessly if they do not. Till they do not.

The recent bombardment barrages of the IA? Pakistan simply cannot afford to reply. Men they have. Shells they do not. And India never has to cross the line. Brilliant.
Breaking indus water treaty is itself a war whether you cross the line or not.

the water that belongs to china flows to india. Chinese stance when he first raised the issue.

In case you haven't gotten the memo after we crossed across, did our thing, and came back.

We are not afraid of war. It will not deter a bigger richer and way more powerful nation from claiming what is its own by right and by law.

True. But that will not deter us. And has not deterred us in the past. The result of which I need not explain either.

Modi again is fooling his nation, no one can back off from multilateral agreements , nor it is possible, again what can you expect from a person who has the background of being a teaseller outside a railway station, Modi's reaction is natural !!!
