IA soldiers cannot stand -20 C to - 40 C temp for a long time, they have to rotate for every hour or two that means more strength will be diverted and deployed during winter season. There will be lot of non-battle casualties.

What a waste of men and material resources due to folly of few sitting in Indian power corridor.

If these pictures posted in this thread will not convince you that chinese are pampered babies, nothing will.

Do you seriously expect single child chinese sleeping in warm bunkers to go out in the winder and FIGHT ? To fight a war in the cold, you need to be on your toes, not on your back in a warm bunker.

Indian army forward camps are designed to keep the men comfortable enogh to keep them uncomfortable and on their toes.

Good luck in asking your chinese boys to leave their warm Hostel and fight a war in the winter. lol.

The Indian barracks have chimneys, indicating that they are burning kerosene for heating.
In the plateau with low oxygen concentration, it is necessary to consume the oxygen in the house to keep warm, which is very dangerous.

I bet none of these saying Indian soldiers don't need facilities have never met a soldier posted in leh.
They want all the support they can get. If war happens even Chinese with no experience of cold can fight for 1-2 days intense war.

What Indian govt should do is buy new cold weather light habitat tents with modern cooking & ready to eat food.

Constant cold doesn't make soldiers strong but they start tiring if not properly rested and fed.

You clearly know more than Generals who have been in the army for close to 40 years.

Why don't you apply for the post of a General so that IA can gain your valuable "expertise" ?
