There was no contract that prohibits the BBC in anyway from publishing it... whether you like it or not.

Unless you show us.

And before you call other uneducated:

a.) Learn to spell... or at least understand that words underlined in red means that they are spelled incorrectly.

b.) What is intentional law?

c.) Learn to discuss moron. You made a claim, so you are supposed to prove it.

d.) Putting smileys behind everything does NOT make any of your mistakes make appear less retarded.

The father of the Delhi gang-rape victim has spoken out against the ban on the documentary 'India's Daughter' and urged people to watch it, saying the film "holds up a mirror to our society".

Speaking to the Calcutta Telegraph, Badri Nath Singh said: "What the documentary shows is the truth. It holds up a mirror to our society. It's not about this rapist, it is a general statement on what kind of people we create in our society.

"People in India should see this documentary and know these men," he said.

People in India have been defying their government’s ban on the film since it aired in the UK by finding, watching and sharing thefilm online after it was uploaded onto YouTube.

Father tells India to look in the mirror

I dont understand, the same parents where protesting against these documentary, specially about the comments of the rapists saying that judiciary failed them.. Now he wanted to watch it?? Anyway, it was a good documentary.. Hope it opens many eyes.. The accused and their attorneys comments were just embarrassing..

Why are you arguing with a bigot? he hasn't even seen the documentary , he is just sprouting this BS because he does not know any better. in some ways he is no better than those who show no respect towards woman .

By the way he is the only Indian member here who is against this movie. draw your own conclusions.

Do not defend this stupid ban. Do not kill the messenger. Do not pretend that because rapes occur elsewhere India should not be singled out (it isnt). Do not provide excuses reasons explanations etc for acts that are clearly unjustifiable. Do protect your daughters sisters mothers etc from a misogynistic culture that needs reform.
This is not about India or nationalism, its about making a just society and Hindus should whole heartedly embrace it with no ifs and buts.
You must be the change you wish to see in the world

I don't think these justifications make any sense. Whether low per rate or not, we have a problem. Let's not compare with others. Besides, there is a lot of under-reporting that happens.

I don't think pdf provides the right environment to discus such matters constructively with all the seriousness and maturity it deserves.

I wasn't referring to PDF, I was saying generally. As Indians we should not be concerned about what others are 'saying' and be more concerned about what 'is' as a situation.

.
That from one of the posters that was put up during the protests after the rape.

Watch the documentary. I can't believe the stupidity of the government. It will move you & there is absolutely nothing there that can be said as tarnishing India's image. This is a sensitively handled, absolutely gut wrenching piece.

Watch. I would urge everyone here to watch this. The government's reaction is absolutely foolish..
Whoever wants to watch.. will still watch it, more so now than before! Not a wise move by the govt to ban the telecast. However, only reason I can think of is the fact that this interview was sanctioned by the previous UPA govt.. & the current govt sees an opportunity here to score some political points! There's no reason other than this...

Where is freedom of speech/expression? And don't know why showing the mindset of a rapist make you guys so angry
Because many feel that this animal's pathetic justifications for what he did don't need to be given any sort of validation which, it could be argued, filming and then broadcasting them does in a sense.

As for freedom of speech, the issue the current GoI has is how a foreign journalist was able to get access to the incarcerated individuals and I was quite surprised that she was able to also. The GoI hasn't said they object with the topic of the documentary.

Wonder why BBC, which showers pompous concern on 1 rape that happened halfway across the globe, but is silent on horrendous acts like these happening in their own country -

300 White British Girls Raped By Muslim Gang For Over 7 Years

Yet again, another case of child "grooming" (correct word is rape) of underage White girls by Muslim gangs has been uncovered and this time in Oxfordshire. And just like the Rotherham case the Police and Social services looked the other way and failed to take any action against the savages while they raped more than 300 underage girls over the past 15 years because the authorities did not want to come off as "racist" and "Islamophobic".

A damning report is expected to disclose that more than 300 young people have been groomed and sexually exploited by gangs in Oxfordshire over the past 15 years.

Systemic failures by police and social services meant victims were subjected to years of sexual torture, rape and trafficking, it is understood.

The victims, mostly girls, come predominantly from Oxford, making it the latest area in Britain to be embroiled in a scandal over the handling of child sex abuse and proving the issue is not confined to inner cities.

One senior investigative source told The Guardian: “If you think you haven’t got a problem in your city or town, you are just not looking for it.”

The report comes after seven men were jailed for a string of horrendous child sex crimes against six victims, aged between 11 and 15, over a seven-year period.

All of the victims had a background in care and their plight was brought to the attention of the authorities on a number of occasions.

The men were jailed in 2013, but a serious case review by the Oxfordshire safeguarding children board will be published on Tuesday.

It is expected to condemn Thames Valley Police and Oxfordshire social services for failing to act.

Key findings are will expose how police officers and social workers failed to believe the girls when they detailed the abuse they were suffering, and dismissed their complaints.

The report will also put a figure on the extent of the abuse in Oxfordshire, and is understood to have identified 300 young people who have been subjected to grooming and abuse between 1999 and 2014. All have been spoken to by police or social services.

However, it is feared that the figure may be just the tip of the iceberg.

The latest report follows the Jay report into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, which found 1,400 young people had been subjected to grooming and abuse in the area over a similar time frame.

Joanna Simons, the chief executive of Oxfordshire county council, announced several weeks ago that she would be stepping down this summer.

The council has said that she will not be replaced and the management structure will be reorganised. However, the decision will now be reviewed after questions were asked about whether correct processes were followed.

300 victims groomed and assaulted by Oxfordshire gangs, report finds - Telegraph

Let's see if the highly concerned BBC decides to interview these goatbang!ng rascals...or maybe they'd
choose to keep it under wraps (as they've been doing till now) because they have to be politically correct
and have to project the West as being oh-so-civilized.
I must admit I find it highly unusual that a foreign journalist and media house (BBC) have been allowed such access and have embarked on such a documentary in the first place with an international release. But then the BBC's had a quote transparent anti-India policy for some time so it is no real surprise.

Everyone likes to pretend that they hold the moral superiority so it is not surprising the domestic sexual abuses in the UK are less sensationalised than such things in India. That is part of the selling point of these documentaries internationally ie "tragedy ****" and it is much more comfortable to watch it if the subject matter is in some far away place. Such a documentary about such cases closer to home would be very uncomfortable for the British/Western audience. It's preferable to avoid the introspection I guess but indians should not miss this opportunity to do so.

That being said, this documentary is worth watching and I would recommend all Indians watch it. This unspeakable crime needs to be out in the open for all to see and only then will the factors that lead to such horrors be addressed. There is no point pretending this doesn't happen. This prevalent in all Societies and india needs to do everything it can to eradicate this from its society as much as possible.

The one objection I have is having a foreign journalist and media house get involved in India's internal affairs like this.
