Hinduism cannot be described as an organized religion. It is not founded by any individual. Hinduism is God centred and therefore one can call Hinduism as founded by God, because the answer to the question ‘Who is behind the eternal principles and who makes them work?’ will have to be ‘Cosmic power, Divine power, God’

Swami Vivekananda wrote:
There are these eternal principles, which stand upon their own foundations without depending on any reasoning, even much less on the authority of sages however great, of Incarnations however brilliant they may have been. We may remark that as this is the unique position in India, our claim is that the Vedanta only can be the universal religion, that it is already the existing universal religion in the world, because it teaches principles and not persons.

Topic 'The Sages of India']

Swami Vivekananda wrote:
If you want to be religious, enter not the gate of any organised religion. They do a hundred times more evil than good, because they stop the growth of each one's individual development.... Religion is only between you and your God, and no third person must come between you. Think what these organised religions have done! What Nepoleon was more terrible than those religious persecutions? If you and I organise, we begin to hate every person . It is better not to love, if loving only means hating others. That is no love. That is hell! If loving your own people means hating everybody else, it is the quintessence of selfishness and brutality, and the effect is that it will make you brutes.

Swami Vivekananda wrote:
Truth is of two kinds: (1) that which is cognisable by the five ordinary senses of man, and by reasonings based thereon; (2) that which is cognisable by the subtle, super-sensuous power of Yoga.

Knowledge acquired by the first means is called science; and knowledge acquired by the second is called the Vedas.

The whole body of super sensuous truths, having no beginning or end, and called by the name of Vedas, is ever existent. The Creator Himself is creating, preserving and destroying the universe with the help of these truths.

The person in whom this super-sensuous power is manifested is called a Rishi, and the super-sensuous truths, which he realises by this power, are called the Vedas.

This Rishihood, this power of super-sensuous perception of the Vedas, is real religion. And so long as this does not develop in the life of an initiate, so long is religion a mere empty word to him, and it is to be understood that he has not taken yet the first step in religion.

The authority of the Vedas extends to all ages, climes and persons; that is to say, their application is not confined to any particular place, time and persons.

The Vedas are the only exponent of the universal religion.

I once read books written by Swami dayanand saraswati, where it was said that even vedas didn't come at once. Vedas are the product of meditation of exalted sages. No single source is the basis of Sanatan dharma. The sages meditated upon qualities of Brahman and the vedas are result of that. The nectar of vedas which are called upanishads came a long after vedas, they are not considered equal to vedas but no way inferior. How can then Sanatan dharma can be called point source.

we got our religion from the Vedas and not some "founder" or sumthing.

Hinds don't even read the bedas. I dare you to, the bedas worship Indra, Agni, and especially Soma. They belittle Rudra (who you call Shiba), they only believe in Heaven and Hell. The Bedas are a different religion than yours, face it.

There used to be many Gods that are worshipped in various regions. But Vedic thought changed the beliefs system.

The collective knowledge/thought/philosophy of Rishis is what shaped the Hindu philosophy and also influenced other Dharmic religions like Bhuddism, Jainism and Sikhism.

The main text of Hinduism are Vedas. They are called Aprushey means something which is not made by human being. In the beginning of the Shrushti, God enlighted Rushis with the divine knowledge so that they can enlight the world with this divine knowledge. So original source of all knowledge is Vedas. The last part of vedas in which there are discussion about how the universe was created and what is moral value etc are called upnishad. Each ved as Upced such as ayurveda. Than brahmin Granths originited from Vedas and then Brahma sutra etc. It followed by Purans and smritis and various commentaries of scholars like shankaracharya, Ramanuj and Udayan.

After being King, lord Rama goes to Guru Vashishth rishi to get answer of many mysteries. What knowledge Guru vashishth gave to him is texted in Yog Vashisht. The commentary of Adi shankara is considered to be the most authentic. He wrote his commentary on Upanishad, Gita and Brahmasutra (All 3 togather called Prasthan Trayee i.e the knowledge of Mokahs i.e salvation)

The spread of hinduism is obvious but its not systematic ..Its a hybrid system where local culture has attached itself to the hinduism ..We can see so much regional bias in the system all over the region ..Hinduism a journey in spirituality is an incomplete process ..It should not be termed as a religion as religions have specified boundaries ..An athiest can be a hindu and in a spiritual way he can still contribute to hinduism ..Everything will change with time as human mind has very vast space to travel ..Religion is just babysittings for humanity ..nothing more

I received this message on whatsapp, I wanted to confirm if it's true. Last time somebody sent me a pic labelled konark temple was actually Angor-Wat Cambodia. :)
And I've heard the same being said Meenakshi temple's dome and it's shadow not falling on ground.

8 Wonders of Jagannath Temple in Puri
1.Flag always flaps in opposite direction of air.

2.From any place in Puri you, will always find the Sudarshan Charka (Charka at top of Temple) facing you.

3.Normally during day-time, air comes from sea to land and during evening, the vice-versa occurs. But in Puri it’s totally opposite.

4.No bird or planes fly above the Temple.

5.The shadow of the main dome is invisible at any time of the day.
6.The quantity of cooked food insidethe Temple remains same for the entire year. But that same quantity of prasadam can feed few thousand people and 20 lac people, Still it won’t get wasted.

7. In the Temple kitchen, 7 pots are kept on each other and cooked on firewood. In this process the contents in the top pot get cooked first and then the bottom one.

8.After entering from Singhadwara’s first step (from inside of the Temple), you can’t hear any sound produced by the ocean. But, when you cross the same step (from outside of the Temple) you can hear it. This can be noticed clearly during evening.

Hindusim is a set of eternal knowledge which god enlighten in the mind and heart of RISHIS in the beginning of the Shrushti. SO there is no one who Founded Hinduism. It is a knowledge of almighty given as the blessing to Mankind.

Awesome!!!!!!
I did not know that.

There's some confusion :)
Sometime back, on one of the websites I had read something similar being said about Meenakshi temple(madurai,TN). It said the dome's shadow never falls on the ground during the day, either architecturally Meenakshi temple and Jaganath temple 're similar or this is fake news.

Few days back I received a pic of angor-wat temple (cambodia) but the pic was titled Konark temple. Those who have not visited konark or have not heard about Angor-wat temple in Cambodia would believe such fake news.
Spreading such rumours brings bad name to Hinduism.
Let me show you that whatsapp message

This is the message..
