I call him Gandhi. Maybe even Mahatma Gandhi since it was what Rabindranath Tagore called him and that name stuck.

I certainly don't call him a "saint". I call him a shrewd politician and someone who knew the heart and soul of India.

He would be a "racist" if he denied someone anything due to their "race".

But so far there is no evidence of him doing that.

Calling Indians better than blacks in south Africa could very well have been his observation. So how can that be racist ?

Also the blacks were called "Kafirs" due to the history of ARAB MUSLIMS SLAVERS who used to kidnap blacks and sell them in the slave market and call them "Kafirs" and that name stuck and Gandhi merely used it as that was the word in common usage.
