It's what the thread asked for, and I'm simply giving the solution used by outnumbered forces the world over. The US did it in the our War of Independence, the Boers did it against the English, the Viet Cong did it against the US, and the Taliban used the strategy a second time against the US. I can even point you to a Star Wars fanfiction that used much the same premise, although it featured a limited portion of the Empire vs. near-future earth militaries.

Every single one of those situations required some form of internal disunity by the bigger force for victory by the smaller. The US won independence with that premise, but the Boers lost because the English were united. The Viet Cong and Taliban eventually accomplished their goals because of significant disunity in the United States. That is why the US has not won a war since WW2-the goal is no longer to win the war, but to win hearts and minds and force the opponent to give up rather than being grinded into submission.

I would appreciate your feedback. The situations I described have to be assessed realistically.

The problem in case of India - Pakistan is that even if Pakistan surprises and capture some territory (like in Kargil) or the vice versa the other side won't just sit quite and give up. Other fronts will open, Navy - Air force everybody will get involved and it will be full fledged war. In the said case with lesser econony, less men and material, lesser tech Pakistan will be at an disadvantage, so you may very well lose territory of AJK etc in greed of J&K. Yes, this may even mean nuclear doom for both.

The only case or scenario in which India can lose Kashmir is if India has to fight a two-front war with China and Pakistan.

I would focus on:

1. Raising 10-20 new infantry divisions quickly. For this we would need to buy arms and ammunition.
2. Doubling the JFT production and induction of J10s.
3. Tell China to fast track the naval equipment in the pipeline.
4. An attack on Kashmir is expected with 6 lac Indian soldiers present. I would attack were they least expect.
5. I would create an online army to push our propaganda in the social media worldwide.
6. Arm occupied Kashmiris and Azad Kashmiris
7. Start the war by using massive and sustained airstrikes, then allow India to attack us on the ground. Defend for first week or two. Then turn the tables on India.

Use uuvs to mine and attack Indian navy. Use bold strike missions with jh7As to destroy Indian naval ships.

Ak-47 as the main assault rifle is the wisest choice. Simple, reliable, deep penetration rounds and all weather operation plus many civilians are familiar with it. It will be complemented by TT-30/33 as the side arm. Millions can be procured locally. Light, ease to operate and the 7.63x25 rounds have deep penetration capability which would be necessary since the opposing forces will be wearing chest plate, kneecap and elbow protection. Minimum 2 frag grenades for each fighter would add more teeth.

Because we are not fools and war is not a joke, it takes $ 8 -10 billion dollars per day to fight a war. If we fight for 10 days also you will be economically finished and we will be 20 years behind. Not to mention 1000s dead, infrastructue destroyed and threat of nuclear winter. Yes but if we are attacked then we will fight a war and rest assured the losses we will incur will be made good by acheiving our military objectives.

Abhinandan wasn't attacking he was intercepting or chasing down intruders. Abandoning the no first use policy is the sane thing to do, the current doctraine of we will absorb one of two hits and then wipe away the aggressor is stupid.
