I think we will keep on killing a couple of soldiers of both sides from time to time. Tit for tat is reserved for this decade. No official war in near future.

Though I am not sure about my above statement if NaMo comes to Delhi. And if it does happen, Pakistan gonna lose as its already weak internally, terrorists are already floating around all over, nothing good to mention about economy etc.

I hope war doesn't happen.

A war-like situation is very much in Pakistan's favor , which Indians have created on the Line of Control , dont you think ? The country need unity more than ever and nothing better I know of , besides this , to accomplish that .

One advantage of this that is being overlooked perhaps, is that while the nation is busy looking at India it gives the establishment free hand to deal with certain rising threats without nosy reporters(read Hamid Mir) to cry foul at every turn. But that is not the reason to create this opportunity, just a fortuitous occurrence due to this whole drama. -Oscar

Indian Army got too low, its good that they are getting more say. Its unlike Pakistan Army which is the sole arbiter of national policy in Pakistan. Please dont decide on Indian conditions from Pakistani perspectives.

Mainstream Pakistani media tends to be balanced and measured in its language when it comes to India.

There is no Pakistani perspective in India.

If Pakistani perspective were to be taken into account then all who entered Kargil were 'mujahiddeen' and not Pakistan Army. Pakistan Army was only providing 'moral support'.

There is a difference in 'getting a say' and dictating. Your army did the latter and minister obliged.

Most of us already signed declaration with GoP, that if required they can call us to join our forces... So if war is coming we (common civilians) also had to prepare for it.

No need to worry about any threat from India.. They don't have balls to do anything... They can only do proxy war from western side. India simply can't afford this conflict nor Pakistan. This is just some diverting attention for election. Where NaMo is getting stronger candidate for next elections. and whole opposition is using flood as a weapon. GoI wants to move attention into different directions.

No need to move army to eastern boarders. This will only give more time to other internal mess create by them. Which need attention. @Pakistanis, you need to read Pakistani News now more frequently then Indian one. Where it is clearly showing Pakistani Security agencies are getting stronger. They are intercepting more attacks then before. So this could be one reason for India doing this. We should be happy about it, rather then worrying.

We can simply deploy babar all along the boarder, which is enough to shut up India. It's time to grow rather then worrying about dogs barking somewhere else.

Each side always claims that the other guys broke the ceasefire and fired first. At least the Pakistani media airs the Indian viewpoint, whereas the Indian media blindly parrots whatever the Indian army tells them.

One would think smart Indians would recruit some common sense while reading the Indian media "reports".

TTP is located all throughout Pakistan... it has got NOTHING to do with the freedom movement in Afghanistan.... though they wish they had something to do with it....... If you force Pakistan to pull troops off the Western border, you will directly strengthen the TTP.

You think the TTP cares about Pakistan/India/China convoluted politics and regional relations? If you strengthen them they will simply kill anyone they can get their hands on regardless of nationality.

Since we both have a border with Pakistan, neither of us are safe from the TTP either if they start growing stronger.

We will be less effected since the border with China is very small with rugged terrain high in the Himalayas, and because they will find it hard to assimilate into Chinese society in order to move around undetected.

Indian Army is not "dictating" anything. There is entire machinery that works but all it needs is gov.s go ahead.

The machinery consists of cool minded, rational, brilliant strategists that considers short and long term consequences.

War drums are not good for our economy but this move will certainly put pressure on Pakistan especially when it needs more security on its eastern borders.

The situation will diffuse soon. Back channel diplomacy will be on peak. West might already be working hard.
