He does it in every topic. Please keep an eye on his posts. Idiot doesn't realize that 'dam funds' actually means to have foreign remittance keep coming. All this dam fund raising awareness is to attract foreign remittance largely. Bhasha Dam will be build by Govt of Pakistan annual budget and for that current govt has slashed some of the development funds for current fiscal year so that they can start construction of the dams next year from that money.

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) data reveals that Overseas Pakistanis have so far contributed around Rs1 billion to "The Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Fund".


According to the SBP, as of December 06, around Rs8.46 billion have been deposited by locals as well as expatriate Pakistanis to support the construction of dams since July 6. Of total donations, Rs0.99 billion was donated by the expatriates, while the local Pakistani individuals and institutions gave Rs7.47 billion.

Now Imran Khan sought 30 Billion PKR a year

Hence a massive shortfall, no where near what IK expected. So how do we ensure what he said does not look like a joke. Govt releases 98 billion to the fund. Which begs the question. Why the fund? BTW, its 7 Million dollars till date, thats about it, by overseas pakistanis.

Also, he said that govt does not have money so he has to rely on people for crowd funding. Now he gets govt to release money to fund. Another U-Turn.

It is s sly move as the power gen and revenue will be WAPDA's, whereas their contribution will be little and they will have payback. This is why people had issue with them pushing the old feasibility report which might not have been feasible anymore. There are way more thing we can do to conserve energy that build larger dams.

What about Provincial Govt KP??? They will get money for nothing. They don't want KB Dam because they will not get any money & 1 more thing KP demand to further increase their Loyalty & what is their contribution for Dam???

Wapda is a small part. NTDC (Transmission) & LESCO etc (Distribution Company) are separate entity & they all had different job to perform for which they charge resulting in cost increased.
Wapda will Maintain & Operate Mega Dam but what is the contribution of provincial Govt. other then opposing KB which resulted in loss of Life and money(Flood) & Load shedding & Heavy Losses to Wapda.
DAM is not operated in a way to get Maximum Power output benefit for WAPDA instead its operated in such a way to ensure Water is available for Crops. Power Generation is its secondary benefit not its primary job.

& no you can't reduce power use because
1> Demand is much higher then
2> Cost of existing energy is higher then price

WIND FARM (Power Production) + NTDC(Main Transmission) + LESCO etc(Distribution company)+ Line Losses >>>>>>> Electricty Bill

Larger Dam Benefits
1> Our Power Production is Lower then Demand
2> Our Power Cost is higher then what charged to Consumer
3> Factories Closed / unemployment because electricity too expensive or no electricity
4> Existing Dam Capacity reduced (Silt) but Population Increased
5> We are Agri based economy heavily depend on Canals then rains which we hardly have any.
6> Too Control Floods
7> Too ensure water available during drought
8> Mega Dams unit cost is the lowest
9> Mega Dam will survive longer (Silt)
10> ETC

Iron brother is not even funding the ML-1 which is now stuck for the foreseeable future.

Sir its probably Pledge.
NJ is a loss Project Costing 500B+ which should have been less then 100 Billion Rupee.
Also higher Interest Rate of 10% from Federal Govt.
It's also Run of River so not as efficient as DAM.

Just build the dam part first... the power part can be staggered over two decades or if and when our economy rises. Tarbela dam was built during Ayub era but we are still extending and adding to its power generation till this day. That is the right way to go about it.

Alas no body thought about this ingenious plan as this requires Einstein level of IQ

So a Dam is sought to be crowd funded.Billions are sought. Till date after lapse of many months Overseas Pakistani's deposit mere 1bn PRK i.e 7 million dollars and 60 Million is gathered from Local Pakistanis i.e by army, banks and other state institutions who deposit a day or two days salary of their employees ( so much for this being voluntary). Now, the Govt (wapda) deposits 98bn into the account so that collectively IK and CJ now dont feel embarrassed. This defeats the purpose of crowdfunding. The Govt should seriously pursue Dam funding rather than indulging in these shams.

This government is more into taking care of its image, no matter how it harms the country. he says gove has no money and the aam awaam has to pitch in. The response he pathetic.. He sought 30 billion PKR every month, but got only 8.4 Billion PKR in return. So what does he do? Ask wapda to put government money intot he Dam fund. What a joke. Shows the caliber and mindset of this person. His own ego comes before the country for which he will U-Turns after U turns.
