This government is more into taking care of its image, no matter how it harms the country. he says gove has no money and the aam awaam has to pitch in. The response he pathetic.. He sought 30 billion PKR every month, but got only 8.4 Billion PKR in return. So what does he do? Ask wapda to put government money intot he Dam fund. What a joke. Shows the caliber and mindset of this person. His own ego comes before the country for which he will U-Turns after U turns.

For god sake ... Get finance for dam constructions. Many monetary bodies will be willing to.finance the project.

Tarbela currently stands at 5300mw extension 5 to 6300 mw in 2023 while dasu stage 1 will be completed in 2023(2000mw) stage 2 4000 by 2025

Do your math properly. Step 1 what is the value of 1 billions dollars and how many PKR would you need to get that amount. Now keep in mind you need 8 billion dollars for dam and 12 billion dollars with electricity situation. But I think I am expecting miracles here.

Dam is not built with foreign money..it's built with rupees.how idiotic can one be..for example devaluation doesnt impact cement or labour costs..

485 b cost has been approved doesnt contain much foreign part has electrical work is not part of the project ..thid cost also contain cost escalation of 10%..

India simply objected and said it will go for litigation if AB WB decided to funs the dam....thus unlike dasu , tarbela project(IV V 2800MW, 100% funded by WB/WAPDA) bhasha has to be funded by govt...

So current govt approved the project with cost of 485 b(300b rs which means spending 5% of PSDP/ fed development fund) (40/yr in 800b)

China was never involved in dam as Pakistan wants full controll over water release schedule that will effect power production for it to be build by private investment

A lot of stuff will need to get importrd specially when the electricity generation part comes into play, that is where the dollar comes in.

Not many stuff for basic dam part..but PC 1 has 10% cost escalation that should cover it..yeah it still possible it might slightly over shoot

You can get private investment easily once dam is build..or get govt to govt deals..e.g their was France and austria ready to fully fund tarbela V if there construction agency are given deals...
