Want to leave West

People in this thread are saying stay within our diaspora communities and live in liberal cities in the US, but this disease spreading from conservative America is poisoning the whole of the country.

Those of us who have lived in their strongholds know that today it is the racists and the Christian religious fanatics who are determining policy and the future of the US.

Instead of burying our head in the sand, we need to understand the way of thinking of our enemies.

Pakistan’s biggest problem has always been the naïveté in which it’s government have been manipulated by Western nations. The diaspora can be a great asset of Pakistan as we fully realize the mentality of the American lawmakers and military.

Reading your posts and find myself agreeing with you. Educated People like yourself should be utilised by corporates or even govt sectors. However in Pakistan, talent rarely rises to the top because here sifarish/connections is king

Would OSPs like to read about how Israelis did it or do it?

The problem is complaining attitude, okay you (OSPs) may have seen better systems of governance, infrastructure, better life standards, better health and care facilities, schools ....... but when it comes to Pakistan on your return, you start complaining yeh road tehra q hay, yeh gali tang q hay, horn q baja rahy hain, yeh dekho khota gari fast lane may chala raha hy, wahan to humary tooth brush b battery pay chaltay thay ..... yahan log rishwat q laitay hain ........... saray ka sara Pakistan bigra hua hy ....... may wahi theak tha. Mia yahi reh jatay ... tankhwa thori hoti par brain drain ki waja say ajj Pakistan ka image KHR jaisay log to promote na kar rahay hotay.

You have a stereotype in your mind, remember not everyone / everything is the same.

I live like a normal Pakistani...I also think the best environment for a overseas Pakistani is maybe a city where they can have a good lifestyle - LHR/ISB/KHI.

Its not stereotyping ......... personal experiences with returning expats. Jitni dair may wo adjust hotay hain itni dair may hathni 2 dafa bachhay jun daiti hy.

Right now thinking Birmingaham or London. But UK is a white country too.

Me n my family are at the end of our wits.

I dont want my future kids to be beaten up and bullied mentally and physically just for being who they are.

Bro

Is your ethnicity Turkish/Pakistani?

I think you need to be in a city where there’s a more a close knit community, where there will be more interaction for you and your family.

Moving countries is a big step...not easy.

But if you are inclined/determined to do so, then I think Canada is promising because it’s quite open to other ethnicities. Cities like Calgary/Toronto are quite multicultural.

From my personal experience the UK is a good place to live - esp.Bham From an Islamic point of view.

Absolutely I agree with you.

There is no place like home. That is why I request us Pakistanis to quickly build our country, so we can live there!

instead of living as expatriates!
Few years back I used to abuse this country from sunrise to sunset , using bad mouth for my country literally every day with my friends, once I saw the brutual reality of this world from my own eyes I promised myself that I will go back to Pakistan.I gave up the try for my citizenship which was coming to me.I resigned from my wonderful job, people were calling me mad, silly, telling me ye goin back to hell , and on a day when I returned back to Islamabad airport I felt like I got something which was lost from me since ages. Its not home sickness for me.I promised myself that till I am alive I won't ever try to leave Pakistan.I literally enjoy every day of my life with my family.I want my country to be the best, I try to keep it clean and tidy like my home. Please love this country dont treat it like a shithole , this country worth alot.Pakistan Zindabad, Pakistan Paindabad

Absolutely, How many Ghazis and Shaheeds died for the Kashmir cause.

Then people start criticizing Pakistan for no reason. yes corruption is a problem.
Hopefully Imran Khan will fix this.

Absolutely we start to take things for granted like having a country of your own which is Pakistan.

If it wasn't for Jinnah, Rehmat Ali, Iqbal, and the Muslim league we would be living like second class citizens in a United South Asia.

Where there would be a statue of Vallabhai Patel in Rawalpindi and alcohol would be sold freely.

I also met some Gujarati Muslims who lived during the Gujarat riots of 2002, who were more Pakistani than the Pakistanis themselves.

And then I realized why Partition had to happen. Why Muslims in South Asia needed a country of their own.

Salute to your patriotism, brother. We need more Pakistanis like you

People are still shocked when I tell them I want to move to Pakistan. My family in Pakistan are happy to hear it, but many American Muslims or American Pakistanis can’t understand, as they grew up hearing only bad about our country.

I’ve lived in LHR and FSD on and off for a while since I was a teenager and enjoyed it greatly.

More people are returning and there are plenty of people who I knew in the states who are settled back home, so it’s not that different from the US for me

Triggering white people is the best part of living in the states. A few days ago I was changing my motor oil in shalwar kameez and all the white girls in their booty shorts walking their dogs around my apartment complex were staring at me in horror.
