Walmart refuses to place fresh orders with Pakistan

. . . . .
In India though people are already going up in arms against Monsanto establishing presence here. From strikes to candle light vigils (our speciality) ......people are doing it all. Even anonymous India is on the bus.

Monsanto is already in Pakistan. You guys are screwed.

dont worry their law suits mean nothing to us we save the seeds we get and force them out of business.

BT or copyrighted seeds do come with lots of strings attached. Look up for them.
i cant till the day people burn Monsanto. down to ground they are bad company i hope they fail.

No, they are not wrong though. They spend large money on R&D. They have the right to lobby for them, as this is the only way to promote their products. It is mostly the govt who is at fault. It pretty much force it down on the farmers, when it should just promote the seeds.

. .
Earlier this week, Walmart banned 250 Bangladeshi garment factories from producing for it.

I wonder if the real reason is the same as for Bangladesh.

These Pakistani garment manufacturers are no better than their Bangladeshi counterparts. They can bribe the local officials to jeopardize the safety of their workers, but they can't buy everyone else.

doesnt matter, so according to you after i buy seeds from them and produce more seeds they have rights over my new seeds?
that is like you buying a dog and it has babies and previous owner still wants your puppies?

this nothing but pure evil absolutely nothing good will come out of this.

also i heard they are making a suicide plant seed which will kill it self after one harvest so the farmers have to buy it again.

They developed those seeds. And patented it.

Our farmers are used to the age old system, where they can get the seeds from previous crops. They are free to do so for natural seeds, but for modified one? Some one spent lot of money and resources in developing those modified seeds. And he want to do business with it. For those who do not like to pay him, should not use his development.

Problem arises when govt force the farmers to use those seeds, and this is wrong.
