I agree that he could have used a better way or avoided harsh words while doing this........ But being a general who is not used to unwanted or unwarranted criticism, it is natural..... But I guess whats wrong in criticsing the media??? They are not saints either.....

This is true the world over- the media seem to think they have a God given right to criticise, harass and slander whomever they like but the moment they feel even the slightest bit attacked they lose their minds.

Yes, I am a big fan of Mr Syed Akbaruddin he does an excellent job. I hope this storm in a teacup doesn't see Mr Singh punished in any severe manner as he is performing well in his role and that is all that matters.


Unfortunately it is the media whose voice the political class listen too more often than not.

Who cares of the political class which is steeped in propaganda and bickering... At least people are acknowledging good work.

That is where the social media plays a role.... This would not have beeen possible 3 to 4 years back....Now you can criticise the media with out their help..... (the criticism i am talking is the constructive one )

So what's the big deal? Is the mainstream media a holy cow? It's both surprising and amusing why the media especially Times Now and Arnab Goswami and Co are going berserk over the comments made by VK Singh. They need to accept criticism like in the West where the mainstream media is frequently lambasted. They're making a fool of themselves by being overly sensitive. How about paid media?

Lies and unauthentic reporting are par for the course of mainstream media.Who are we to question them?

But heck! You're forbidden to comment on their sensational news headlines most of which are meant to grab eyeballs and for TRP ratings. How dare anyone comment? They're above and beyond the Almighty! They can do no wrong! What they say is the gospel truth. But if you do, then you’re going to be hauled over the coals for it.

Of late, Gen VK Singh has become a convenient whipping boy for the media. Bash him. He's a nice and convenient target!

It's amusing how the media channels are falling over each other to denigrate him. They need to STFU and start reporting news that's far more important than go after his a$$. They have spent 90% of prime time blasting him and just 10% on more important news like the situation in Yemen etc. Lopsided priorities. Indian media after all! Duh!

Yes! Most of the time the media acts as presstitutes!

VK Singh is not even in front of camera. He is searching for controversy. Why cant he keep his hands under control.
Media is the same animal that everybody dealing with. All over the world including UK. UK media follows politicians like pests but if a minister says this, he will have problem.
