General in all over the world (especially in India) are one of the worst diplomats, who ever placed hin in MoFA was an idiot.

You cant blame him also, as a General he is not very familiar with Media interaction or dealing with them, and remember he had issues with Media even when he was in power...... Remember IE's report of a coop.......

generals have to keep emotions aside, and do job as professional. They come from officer cadre.

Whilst the sentiment is not far off the mark there is surely a more diplomatic way of expressing this, as a former army man one can expect this of him- he is hardly a career politician (which is a good thing). He is doing a good job (see his work in evacuating Indians from Yemen) but perhaps needs to get a spokesperson to speak on his behalf, there is no point in giving critics of him and the GoI ammunition.

But his plain speak has earned him more kudos from the twitterati, not from presstitutes but.

I agree that he could have used a better way or avoided harsh words while doing this........ But being a general who is not used to unwanted or unwarranted criticism, it is natural..... But I guess whats wrong in criticsing the media??? They are not saints either.....

Yes, I am a big fan of Mr Syed Akbaruddin he does an excellent job. I hope this storm in a teacup doesn't see Mr Singh punished in any severe manner as he is performing well in his role and that is all that matters.

What can he do, when the media is trying to nitpick each and every word of his and show him in Bad light.
Sometimes the Media needs to be shown the mirror to stop their tirades.They think there is no Authority to check their falsifications and News Manufacturing where there is none.
