What's new

Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi have agreed to export India-made devices to countries around the world

.
Great News 👍

Now Chinese companies have started shifting its manufacturing to India.

Good Luck:china:

. . . . . . .
Wait. I thought india was so oppressive to Chinese businesses that they were considering shifting all production to iron brother pakistan.

Oops?
@MultaniGuy, you think this is a printing error? 🙃

From "made in India" to "own brand and supply chain", did the poor wumao get a brain freeze?
Why do slum pariahs always think others are wumao?

Without your own brand and supply chain you are just "assembled in India".

Iphone has suppliers of it's components spread all over the world, what Foxconn did in China was assemble and export to the world. Same thing we are doing now. But it was "made in China" before and "assembled in India" now?
Buzz off illiterate

No need to try and turn this into some sort of shame or whatever. China did the same thing for decades and even until today. Many western companies moved their brand and production to China and export them from China to the world, something you Chinese were/are also happy about . IPhone, Foxconn, Tesla, etc etc.
So what's the issue with India trying to do the same ? You guys should clam down.

Calm down. Baby. Just show you some threads I sent today.

We have the only complete industrial chain in the world. We are happy to help the third world countries develop their manufacturing industries. I don't have any questions.

Oh good. Hopefully, they won't block supplies of Chinese parts for assembly.

By the way, those three companies had always planned to export from their Indian plants but the Indian government had thrown roadblocks. Vivo had $15M worth of devices (destined for exports) seized by the Indian government.

Exporting from foreign plants is not something new for Chinese companies overseas especially with raising wages in China. The Indian article is making like this is a win when Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi are having issues doing manufacturing in India -- because of the Indian government. We'll see if they can ever scale up and export. For that to happen, India can't be locking up a $1billion of Xiaomi's funds to do work there.

Chinese companies in Vietnam have less issues producing and exporting to other markets and that is where most Chinese investment is going to get around Western tariffs and bans.
