VIP Protocol for PM Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Maneka in Masjid-e-Nabwi

Is it necessary to send so many guards inside? Why not establish surveillance from above and around?

I do not subscribe to this justification.
It is to prevent a stampede. It's a very crowded space.

There won't be a stampede there due to PMIK.

He is a celebrity at most, not a higher being. Nobody is eager for PMIK to give him a kiss on his chin or such.

Lanat on the OP for opening a thread to boast about the status of humans in a place like Masjid e Nabwi

I don't think that it is a matter of status. I think that KSA government provides it, primarily, to prevent some untoward incident and may be, sometimes, they overdo it. Of course, you are right, in such sacred places, there shall be no consideration of status.

Anything can happen and the Govt. there is not willing to risk it.

Don't like this "VIP" sh1t whether in Pakistan or outside of Pakistan. Everyone should be treated the same way.

I remember shah faisal visited india on condition that there will be no idol at place of his visit to india and indian govt accepted his condition for visit
I don't think that it is possible, for a guest, to advise the host, on such protocols.

There are always excuses and justifications for VIP culture. This will happen or that will happen. Either YOU stick with your principles or be ready to be labelled a hypocrite.

How are these people more valuable then others? Do you think Imran Khan is the best Pakistan can produce? There are many talented individuals in Pakistan who are not in politics due to lack of funds. Real change will come when common people will be able to decide the course of Pakistan, not political elites.

I think there is more risk of ik plane being hit by houthi drone or missile during visit to saudia than attack on him in MasjideNabvi(P.B.U.H)

The fact is that the Government of Saudi Arabia took the responsibility of his protection, And they will take adequate steps to ensure it.If you have a problem say it to the Govt. of Saudi Arabia. Its their country and their rules.

Nobody can impose his will on a leader of another country. This is baseless assumption.

This is Saddam Hussein performing hajj.

Do you see an army in there? Just a normal looking minimum security cover. And Saddam wasn't an ordinary individual, he had enemies everywhere.

But whatever happened to him, it happened to him in his own country. He managed well in Holy places regardless.

There is a higher power out there, and his will is absolute. Wordly arrangements are nothing.

.
this Holy place respect is more important and dear to any Muslim than rules and laws of saudi regime, the matter is that whether ik has asked for removal of this protocols for respect of this Holy place which is his responsibility as a Muslim

Your example is somewhat different than the matter under discussion. My contention is that if you are a state guest in a country and that country intends to provide certain type of security and/or protocol to you; it would be against the diplomatic norms to refuse it. It may also be taken as an insult by the host.

i think if visit is to ordinary place it is ok but for Holy place it is better to refuse and go against such norms of protocol for respect of Holy places and I am sure saudis are also Muslim and will consider it as good step
