Violent clashes as ‘mentally ill’ Christian ‘desecrates’ Quran in Lahore

One of the habits that many have is using the newspaper as a dastar khwaan and use it to get the roti etc. from the tandoor in it and when finished eating it is rolled and dumped in the garbage. That page of newspaper can have holy names of Allah on it being part of the names of persons like Abdullah, Abdul Majeed, etc…. or even there might be an obituary and verses of Quran printed on the paper.

Using it for rolling eatables is also un-hygienic as no one knows who sneezed on it or where they were placed before ending up being used to handle eatables etc..

Also in many mosques or religious madrassah you will find copies of the Quran or a Qaidas or religious books in very bad condition and the pages little by little end up on the floor when children read it and so on.

In UAE they came up with the idea of purpose built boxes outside most of the mosques to collect newspapers and religious papers, they are collected and recycled.

do you know something about the canal in Lahore? a guy actually cleans it by collecting the Quranic pages that are thrown by people (a ritual to destroy an old Quran by either burring it or putting it in water). he scoops those pages that are mixed with the entire filth of Lahore. see? what a disaster.

It's unfortunate Pakistanis are bracketed with India when it comes to attack minority religions.

Well that's how most Muslim's will react, so let's not blame only Pakistan. Muslim's in general tend to be very violent when they think their religion has been 'attacked '. They are in this regard on average less tolerant than others. This can be seen in they taking things in their own hands by attacking /burning to death /killing those who they think have 'offended ' Islam /holy book Quran . You don't see Christians/buddists etc attacking or killing people because they burned the bibble or drew caricatures about Jesus /Buddha/pope etc. I'm sorry to say this, but it's the simple truth. So we don't have to blame just Pakistan,do this(burn the Quran even by mistake /mentally ill) in any other Middle Eastern country and you will be met with the same fate. Lol

They only catch the mentally ill or who does not even know what is written on the paper.

And then people say why our country faces so many calamities.

I used to burn old pages or papers having names of Allah, but when i did so i made sure they are burnt and are not readable.

If one wants to burn it, he should make sure it is burnt completely and not readable or distinguishable that it was part of some holy text. And if they want to throw it in water they should not just throw it but make sure it completely dissolves and nothing is readable or distinguishable.

I prefer burning though.

Why do they print Quran verses on newspaper in first place? We all know newspaper go to trash. Isn't it disrespected then? This is no reason for all this. These so called Muslims don't even respect pages with Quran verses. There should be a ban on printing Quran verses on all such things which we know are going to trash.

It cannot be that a non Muslim in Pakistan will purposely scan for religious papers or texts in his locality and make sure they end up in the trash.

Most likely the Christian has a piece of real estate mullahs got an eye on but I do find it fishy that "mentally unstable" seems to be the excuse every time such an incident occurs. Either that is total bull shit or there are mental problems amongst many Pakistani Christians.

Hazrat Usman R.A did some great service to Islam his name is normally doesnt get mentioned enough for the positive things done by him.
our religious scholars who have the complete knowledge and have the sense for the faith as well must educate the public too. it hurts me to see Quranic verses and sacred names on literally on everything its like an obsession and then people dont take care of them. and sadly they end in trash and our non-Muslim community is on the lower level of societal hirachy and they end up taking the brunt for disrespecting them.

I am very much sure that all non-Muslims in Pakistan value their lives and wont put their lives in danger and their family members by deliberately disrespecting the Quran, I mean dont they see enough examples of us Muslims and our endless rage? also what really makes me mad is how quickly the mob is gathered and mobilised , they got all the time in the world just for destruction ask the same mob to donate a little change for an orphan child or an orphan girls wedding in the name of Islam and Muhammad PBUH and they might disperse and their anger might dissipate .
