How come all Muslims who defy the Pakistani laws are always found defended by the masses? Its against the law to throw newspaper or burn them? I know for a fact that Muslims around me do it all the time.

Quite certain I never said anything about Muslims defending burning verses. I said that they don't burn verses but the newspaper. You have never seen people burning newspapers around you? Have you even read the news in question properly? Because similar is the story here.

I am very much sure that all non-Muslims in Pakistan value their lives and wont put their lives in danger and their family members by deliberately disrespecting the Quran, I mean dont they see enough examples of us Muslims and our endless rage?

Exactly, I have used this logic in the past. Radicalization, extremism and subsequent terrorism are on the rise in the country, what would the minorities lose their mind at this time and increase blasphemy acts whilst knowing the behavior and attitude of the majority seriously?

It's unfortunate Pakistanis are bracketed with India when it comes to attack minority religions.

India is a vast country...there might be some sporadic incidents in some states...but most of India is completely safe for minorities(I know you know this)....we don't even care if anyone makes fun of our gods and religious texts..the most we do is to insult back the religion and gods of those who insult our religion..India is the safest place for minorities in entire south Asia.

No idea, which cases you are referring to where Muslim masses defended the culprits. The man in question is accused of burning pages from Holy Quran.......The Christians are maintaining that he was burning newspaper............... So what's the real story, don't know. But again the man in question has been conveniently labelled "mentally challenged" just like other cases of blasphemy in Pakistan. Another example of that is the girl from Islamabad, who was wrongly accused by some Mullah, but just to fortify my observation----------The tag of "Mental illness" is quite frequently used.

You would rather have me believe that Christians and other minorities in the country have grown more irrational and disrespectful with the rise in radicalization and extremism within Muslims? Knowing how they would be treated if someone catches them in the act? You think that makes more sense than the tag of "mentally ill"? Because if I am not wrong, the blasphemy cases have increased in the recent years. Minorities getting burned, getting their houses destroyed en masses, getting killed, you name it. Condemnations? Well people look for excuses, rationalizations and justifications first here before they uncomfortably condemn it and by that I am referring to a very small number. People fear God's punishment in afterlife too much here to speak against such inhumane and barbaric actions. How would you know that Muslim masses defend the culprits? There's a man in jail in Lahore, he's there for the death sentence awarded for killing Salman Taseer. See how much sweets, flowers he gets every month. See how many people and Madarsa boys rally with him in support and shower petals if he's taken out for a court hearing. See the support all around and then be critical of the masses support for the culprits. And mind you, this man has been proven guilty by a court of law, forget the ones who are alleged.

We have this kind of problem and we all should get rid of it if we have to grow. There are million of people in our Country who has nothing to eat,nothing to wear. West learnt it long time back and we are still at it. If Pakistanis share something about India or vice versa we should discuss about it positively. Doing mud slinging is not going to correct it.Being Indian I am ready to learn good from Pakistan and Bangladesh and you all should do it. If this is happening in Pakistan being educated we all should raise voice against it and if it happens in India we again should do it in constructive way. Daily 5 to 6 thread open up on the same issues and we don't do anything other than letting each other down. Sorry but sad state of affairs.

They are in this regard on average less tolerant than others. This can be seen in they taking things in their own hands by attacking /burning to death /killing those who they think have 'offended ' Islam /holy book Quran . You don't see Christians/buddists etc attacking or killing people because they burned the bibble or drew caricatures about Jesus /Buddha/pope etc. I'm sorry to say this, but it's the simple truth. So we don't have to blame just Pakistan,do this(burn the Quran even by mistake /mentally ill) in any other Middle Eastern country and you will be met with the same fate. Lol

Christians don't keep copies of Quran in their homes, so the mentally challenged knows where and how to purchase a copy (and he has money too) only to desecrate it. or do they become mentally challenged after committing the crime?
