Violations will not be tolerated: Pakistan shows India

News Analysis |

The Line of Control(LoC) is far from quiet as both Indian and Pakistani forces are trading fire galore. According to officials, a teenage boy and a man were killed and at least 13 others were injured as Indian troops continued to pound civilian populations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). India hurled mortar shells and other small arms.

The ISPR said that one soldier was also martyred in the firing. Further, the media wing of the Army released a video along with a press release showing the demolition of Indian posts which took out 5 Indian soldiers.

“Pakistan Army aggressively responded on Indian posts,” read the release. “Response destroyed Indian posts firing on Pakistani posts/civilians. Five Indian soldiers killed, many injured. Indian guns silent due to effective engagement.”

The head of the media wing, Major General Asif said that such breaches will be responded to in the same manner. “Unprovoked cease fire violations shall always be responded strongly, aggressive and effectively by Pakistan Army,” he added.

The Line of Control has remained heated since last year when Kashmiris launched a reinvigorated surge against India in Indian Occupied Kashmir(LoC). The sporadic lull was broken when on Sunday, a Pakistani Army vehicle was hit by Indian shelling which resulted in the martyrdom of four soldiers.

Exactly what did Pakistan show India?

A press release that it had Killed 5 Indian soldiers. Where as India claims on 2 of its soldiers have been killed in addition to 3 civilians.

Where as Pakistan itself accepts 4 +1 = 5 of its soldiers have been killed in addition to two civilians in the recent flare up.

Question is, why Pakistan claims of Indian casualties be accepted, when they have no way of knowing them ? And is vice versa also true, will Indian claims of Pakistani army casualties be also accepted on face value ?

Actually you are missing several Indian casualties from this week and past week. Include them and you would get a good picture of the beating that you have got in recent days. OP is correct. Pakistan has shown that foolish aggression by India won't be tolerated.

Any idea what the point of this tit for tat shooting is all about ? Ain't nobody going to be taking the other side's land if you just fire sniper shots and mortars at each other. All which is happening is that a few soldiers and many civilians are being killed on both sides it seems. Both countries need to man up now

So Indian governments accepted the actual fact.

As far this incident is concerned, Pakistan has lost more than twice the number of soldiers (5 vs 2), So where is the beating ?
