The real-life fairytale village in NE China

Shuangfeng forestry station is indeed a snow town. The small town in northeastern China’s Heilongjiang Province has a seven-month long snow season every year.

Its lengthy winter gives the area a fairytale appeal.

Thick layers of snow, up to 2 meters, top the houses’ wooden roofs in similar fashion to what one can see in stories or movies depicting Santa’s village in the North Pole.

Reminds of the Nordic Europe. Of course each has their own appeal, style and culture.

********

Damn, this is no more a village, more like a town.
However, this "village" will put many cities to shame.
